QUOTE(autodriver @ Jul 27 2023, 11:47 AM) Powerful engine is surely syiok when accelerating but how often we use full power or 50% of the engine power? I own a VW GTI with over 200hp for my daily drive, honestly 90% of time I don't even use 50% of the power during city or highway drive. Of course with full load I will step harder to gain more power but it is quite rare. However good chassis which give good handling, well balance of comfort and body roll make more sense because we can feel it even in low speed. depends on user I'm the type that "it is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it"

QUOTE(littlefire @ Jul 26 2023, 08:47 AM) Civic ketam with the turbo? Sadly no, it is not recommended even by my mechanic for used as a lot are abuse quite badly and most seller sell it after fail CVT gearbox, engine or mods. Just try to get to know who is the previous owner if in mid 20~30's mostly are abused badly. If you ask me the only model can buy is either the ketam 1.8L N/A version (sadly quite low spec.) or previous gen with the 2.0 N/A i-VTEC (K20Z2) engine, the 2.0 i-VTEC are the real gem in civic generation and mostly bullet proof engine & gearbox (still using 5-speed auto). The 1.8s is not quite low spec, you can opt for it if you don't need the turbo and ADAS, the seats you could rewrap in leather, surprisingly the torque is there in S mode, just need to change for better tyres, since it's the last iteration it would have fix all the niggling issues.

QUOTE(Kappa123XD @ Jul 26 2023, 11:19 AM) Even the 2020/2021 that still under warranty also not recommended? Because I'm looking for 2020/2021 one, just need to check with SC whether the warranty voided or not and history of maintenance etc. Don’t forget about the big kl flood on end 2021. Maybe check from the maintenance records whether the car is used in kl or other states

QUOTE(apamise @ Jul 25 2023, 04:13 PM) City hatchback owner here. Since I got the city, not even once I wish I went for used civic fc instead. I'm happy with my purchase. At most I only cruise around 140 km/h at highway. City's 1.5 NA engine is more than capable of doing that. As for torque, the paddle shifter is very useful to cover the lack of turbo. Just downshift when overtaking and I get more torque for 10-15 seconds. But if you plan to fit 5 people often, get civic instead of city. City's middle rear seat is higher than left and right, making it uncomfortable for long distance. There is a lot of quality issue with honda city in recent years. Gear box issue, door panel sound, axle beam, electric steering rack issue, oil strainer issues. How is urs ?

I got both civic 1.8s (fc) and city 1.5s (gn2) sedan. For short trip and town driving I'd take the City anytime. Only drive the civic for long trips >50 km.

I'm a City GM6 owner. If I had to choose between used ketam and new City, I'd go for the new City. Fewer headaches in terms of unknown reliability due to unknown maintenance/usage pattern for the ketam.

QUOTE(genericsoul @ Aug 2 2023, 07:35 AM) How is the consumption? Any opinion about the HB RS? Around 15 km/l, without using eco mode. City hybrid can get 50% more per liter, but that spec is almost rm20k more expensive than my V spec. Tambah rm5k can get HRV already. Make sure you test drive both hybrid and petrol variant to find which you like more. I find the petrol one more responsive and paddle shifters make it even more fun to drive.

What’s the top speed you’ve reached before?

I'm not really into top speed, so I haven't try to push it. But yeah, the hybrid version use atkinson cycle, so better efficiency but lower horsepower and lower top speed.
