Nothing much to filter already... filter and filter then finally get nothing ga la... sweat.gif

That's is Cafe de Coral, it's a fast food type of chain restaurants but not cha charn teng. Cha charn teng mostly don't have such established system, and cha charn teng is paid after you finished your meal.

SMS is ok I think... the most they charge you for overseas SMS is HKD2 per message. But I don't know about IDD call la... Yes it's readily available, you can get different brands of pre-paid sim card in 7-11 or Circle K convenient store. There is a 7-11 in Arrival Hall of HKIA, you can get one there. As per one of my M'sian friends who visited HK, he said the brand "People" sim card is the cheapest. You can compare when buying.. For Octopus card, get it in the counter of Arrival Hall as well la... the round counter in the middle..
yea... Japan even more nice x'mas deco~~ Originally think of going to Japan next week for 3 days but nobody available... seems lonely to go alone, so just leave it la... sad.gif
*
i still believe get something. take picture of my purchases to let you see okay?! brows.gif

HKD2 sounds dandy fine for a SMS, Maxis told me it'll be 3 way payment if i were to use their service, sweat lah wei. crazy de. need to pass through their network and then pay HK then pay Malaysia again, might as well spend on a prepaid card. prepaid card no special registration required hor? stupid Malaysia asked us to register prepaid numbers last year back IIANM. stupid move. doh.gif

Octopus Card can get back the remainder left in the card, syok lah. i love HK's system. stupid Touch and Go here in Malaysia is sooooo fugged up. sometimes can just eat all your damn credit and you never know where your money goes. doh.gif

QUOTE(northasian @ Dec 15 2007, 12:39 PM)
HK is used to be more stable and safe than M'sia la.. Afterall it's Chinese dominated society so we are all treated and protected equally~ thumbup.gif But living space is far smaller than M'sia lor..
*
no racism there right?! sooooo unlike here. tongue.gif and yeah, living space is one of the reasons why i hold back when i make future plans of moving there to start a life. so small lah, can't take it. shakehead.gif

QUOTE(IceFire @ Dec 15 2007, 01:33 PM)
just buy the Prepaid card and make phone call back to MY. It is very cheap only... i think about RM0.20 per minute if I am not mistaken. Just check around the phone charges rate before you purchase. There is one card that offer this IP phone call rate.
*
when you say prepaid, you mean Hong Kong prepaids? will do so, thanks. smile.gif if it's RM0.20 per minute, i will 'call bao gei' already. rclxm9.gif and according to northasian she said someone mentioned 'People' SIM cards are good with nice rates.

Ho ar, I also long time no shop around in HK... smile.gif

Maxis is right, when you roaming sending sms or calling local/home country, you've to pay for 2-3 parties which make the rate very expensive... I sent sms to a third country using my own HK roaming mobile in Aust. and UK, each costed me HKD6!!! mad.gif Don't mention the call I received... HKD2x.xx per min.. T^T

HK prepaid sim card no need registration. Just buy and activate, that's it.

Yep, remember to refund the octopus card before you go back... biggrin.gif Somemore you can use octopus card to pay and even top up in Mcdonalds, 7-11, Circle K convenient stores, supermarkets, Cafe de Coral, Fairwood....etc. in addition to public transport. Very convenient card~~ thumbup.gif

No, no racism in HK smile.gif  Living space problem can be solved ge.. earn more money lor.. hohoho~~ But small space has its merits too la, no need to walk so much, no need to go up and downstairs very tired, no need to clean so much space, family more close to each other, quite nice though~  tongue.gif
*
then wanna go gai gai with me?! since i'm landing on Friday and i'll be around on weekends. mad dog can join if he wants to. tongue.gif

Maxis is right? but i was thinking if i were to sms my bf, he sms to which line cheaper leh?! hmmph. another thing need to go find out with Maxis. i've heard very good comments bout Octopus, tourist friendly too. so easy man, i love it there! biggrin.gif

i can't stand small spaces my dear. honest. no matter how much i earn and get a big bungalow there. city life is sort of fast paced to me. laugh.gif and if lift break down you Hongkees who live in high rise mah cham loh?! tongue.gif

no la.. you enjoy the shopping with your mum la, I gotta work over the weekend too.. my job is on shift.

sms your HK sim card number is not expensive too I think... my bf used to sms me when he's in m'sia. but you can also ask ask la..

HK's lifts not so easy to break down la.. even break down very fast will resume normal, and each building not only 1 lift, right? it's total not a problem here in HK this efficient city~ icon_rolleyes.gif
*
weekend also work? sigh. like my bf having training on weekends. so sucky! cry.gif

smsing to my HK card number is not expensive? good. then we can resume our crazy smsing liao. he he! won't have to miss him too much then. laugh.gif

There are so many tourists including those Mainlanders flocking into HK during peak seasons every year, we have got used to it already... Some people would say it's make HK a vivid lifely city, some would say it's disturbing.. so depends on how you view la... For myself, 'coz I live and work far away from downtown, so I didn't feel the disturbance very much, haha.. laugh.gif
Morning.. no news yet...
*
lol, far from town ah? those places are quiet and need a lot of traveling to get to town. last time live in Tsing Yi and traveling down took so long. tourists no time to waste leh. laugh.gif

QUOTE(david tamiya @ Dec 17 2007, 10:23 AM)
lol, you round up the bills, i dun mind. tongue.gif
lol, i'm talking to a LDR couple, so maybe few days didn't meet isn't much to you. but for me and him, we're sorta attached tightly. will do smsing during night time since i won't be free in the daytime as you mentioned anyway. brows.gif busy doing what girls do best. flex.gif

dont say like that me and my gf also very close but not sms la just call few times a day cant wait to settle down also
*

oh yea.. I typed it wrongly.. tongue.gif I know it's RM but don't know why typed HKD... doh.gif

ic.. I bet HK Express won't call you beforehand for flight delay.. such a low cost carrier won't have reservations office in every ports.. so you will only know the flight is delay when you get to the airport~ believe me.. just have your bf drive you to the airport as schedule la~!  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
this is a total change of schedule which we were informed by our tour agent beforehand, so they're quite responsible also lah. better than have us wait from morning till night man. that sucks. sweat.gif so, we've yet to know whether will we face any delays, but never mind, bf and mom to keep company, any delay is wonderful. just unhappy we're forced to sleep off a night in HK before having fun. doh.gif

That's why I will never go out to TST on any "eve".. no more!! Once I took my relatives to dinner on 24/12, it took me over an hour for a table. After the dinner when I went home, it took me over half an hour to 45 mins to walk from Canton Road to MTR entrance on Cameron Road, which usually only take the most 10mins to walk!!!
*
lol, that's the reason why me and my mom spent our Christmas Eve inside the hotel eating cherries bought from the nearby market. laugh.gif

i'm back btw! got some assignments to rush, so will update you guys when i write a blog entry bout my HK trip. smile.gif

Just a little bit higher je... but price here I think is already inflated much more than the rise of exchange rate... hmm.gif

That bag around how much? unsure.gif HKD2xx each?? Not so sure about price range of that brand since that's mainly for teenagers... tongue.gif I no longer am a teen.. cry.gif Brands in M'sia tend to mark up very high all the time ga la... like Guess, I don't know why they sell so expensive while in HK I can hardly see people using Guess bags anymore...... even rarely find Guess stores everywhere... But there are still some nice brands we can find in KL but can't find in HK, like GAP & Roots, I'm really clueless why these brands can't stand in HK... huh.gif
*
maybe coz some brands are meant to be? coz a lot of things that HK got Malaysia dun have. it's equal also lah.

btw my dear, the bag on the left is my mom's one, the purple one baru mine. so who set the age limit of owning a Playboy bag? tongue.gif

these 2 bags original price was around HKD600+, then discount 40%, mine 50%, so end up 2 bags for approximately HKD600+ only. laugh.gif

Wish you a happy new year and a happy trip here~!

If you're going out to countdown, then good luck to you la... tongue.gif

No one set the age limit, just general trend of using this brand and the brand's marketing is somehow target on the teen market (e.g. it will use youngster to be the brand's model in magazine while Chanel/LV/CD will use mature model to be their brands' model to appear in poster/magazines...)

Where did you get the bags? Playboy counter in Extraveganza? Good for ya la~ can get such a good deal~ thumbup.gif I think I gotta spare some time for shopping later... hmm.gif
*
got those bags right downstairs my hotel, City Landmark's Citistore. nod.gif

as long as it looks neat, i dun mind the brand. affordable somemore. the stuff from this brand sold in KL are soooo ugly, won't even give it a second glance. now i can't stop admiring my new purchase, hehe! laugh.gif you should go shopping now since Christmas rush is no longer there. but i see a brand new flock of tourists just making their way into your island the day i left. so dun go to Mongkok area because usually tourists are packed there. it was a nightmare for me. shakehead.gif
