McLaren were poised to use systems on their 2008 car that had been inspired by secret Ferrari information given to them by Nigel Stepney, the FIA's technical report on the matter reveals.

The FIA document also reveals that engineers within the team were aware of a Ferrari 'mole' passing information to them.

One email exchange between engineers on April 13, 2007 discussing steering angles mentioned an exact figure for the Ferrari wheelbase. A response from a senior McLaren engineer was: "Is the Ferrari wheelbase an accurate figure? Did it come from photos or our mole?"

The response was: "You will find it's to the nearest 'mm'."

McLaren have vowed to cease development work on the parts that could have been inspired by Ferrari knowledge, and the FIA stated on Thursday night that it was now willing to bring the matter to a close.

Haha, who knows, with Mclaren likely to be forced to remove alot of Ferrari's stuff, they might perform worse than Force India

CIMB Team Qi-Meritus has submitted the official appeal on the disqualification of their drivers in the final Formula BMW Asia race and their exclusion from the team championship. The Federation Automobile of Sport China (FASC) which is the Chinese ASN affiliated to the FIA, has confirmed that they have received the letter of appeal from the team dated 5th November 2007.

The appeal hearing will take place within 30 days from the date of the letter and the ASN will notify all parties involved.

Drivers Jazeman Jaafar and Jack Lemvard were disqualified from round 22 of the Formula BMW Asia held Sunday at Zhuhai International Circuit after their cars were found to be in breach of technical regulations. The disqualification resulted in Jaafar losing his championship title with just a one point deficit.

The CIMB Team Qi-Meritus was also penalised and excluded from championship title due to the severity of the offence and in view of their previous infringement of the Technical Regulation on an earlier occasion.

Very likely, Ferrari going to dominate F1 again come year 2008.  

I wouldnt say how the season will go before the season starts....too many factors are at play...instead of analysing the probabilities of the outcome, i would just lay back n relax and see wut happens when it finally starts. Its a circus anyway LOL.

Some cheated...some accused of being cheated when they dont...some were caught cheating, some got away with it. Some are at the limit of legallity which seems like cheating but it is totally legal.

IMHO, cheating or not really depends on, most of the time, who u supporting and who u not. Thats y i stopped being biased and being a die hard fan coz it can really affect ur judgement of things.....

I have to respect Dennis of his decision to stay despite calls for him to quit. It manifests his desire abt the sports and passion abt his job....despite after what he has faced last season.
