So...
A strange thing happened...

On 12th June I placed an order for a RM1k item...
Shopee tracking says - J&T is handling the item...

Expected delivery date was on 17th of June...

However... since 14th of June... item still stuck NOT MOVING AT ALL at J&T JTI FREIGHT 999 (item bound for Sabah)...

On 17th June - item still stuck there... no update at all.. Shopee system says give chance another 4 days, promised it will arrive...

4 days gone... its 23rd already... suddenly shopee system says - "Item reported to be LOST" and shopee says it will proceed to refund...

LO AND BEHOLD...

Item suddenly arrived on 25th... but system says already Lost...
Also... I got the refund back to my Credit Card...

So now... I got both the item... AND the refund...

So:

1. What do I do now? Shopee havent called me about it, I dont see any mechanism to settle this.
2. Will the seller be compensated for this?
3. Should I just leave it be and say PADAN MUKAK SHOPEE & J&T for lousy service?

If u are honest then contact the shopee cs. If wanna keep the money then dont. Had this issue before and i actually paid back to shopee. Kinda regret now hahahaha

My verdict:
I think u wont be returning to shopee , since the item is 1k. So it really depends on u

Accounting will sooner or later figure things out.

Up to you. Just remember, if u cheat, 1 day karma will back bite you je, thats all. And when the time comes, make sure dun open tered make noise.

Shopee need to create mechanism for 'honest' buyers to pay them back... such error SHOULD NOT have happened...

first they make customer angry by very slow delivery... then announced item lost.. all of the sudden item arrives... both seller and buyer are not at fault for this lousiness...

maybe... I will be kind enough to return the refund... lets see if they care enough to contact the customer/buyer first...

They won't contact u one . Shopee got scam ppl in other ways if me I won't return it .

same, i bought a cpu, in shopee not moving. i got the item.

then long long time got jnt call me ask pernah beli cpu dari shopee tak? ada dapat item tak?

i say got. then got notification order complete in shopee. should just say no got item and ask refund

U take the item and your money. It's that simple.

I would say get contact with them in the customer service and see wat they say.

The chances they say its woraite you can enjoice the item and the refund is likely, but at least it gave you a solid reason that you approached them, and had things settled, and its no scampee case.

Might be a small case, but small stuff usually escalated to big one when shit happens.

they maybe can claim lost insurance .

happened to me once where i ald received the parcel after fck 9 ninjavan for being unreasonably late, but lazada system thr show parcel lost and strg away refunded to me

i just tell tht seller n ask him to provide the bank details then strg transfer back to him, not gonna let the innocent seller who did nothing wrong but hv to bear the fault for bodo macai delivery man's mistake n lapsapda system.

Same shit happened to me a while back.

Contacted Shopee customer service a few times via chat, but they couldn't do anything because it was not in their system on how to handle such exception.

Shopee customer service did ask for transfer to their Maybank account, but refused to do so as it went against their own rule of conducting all financial transcation within Shopee system.

Told Shopee if they want the money, deduct it from the Shopee wallet, but Shopee never did.

Things might have changed since then, but who knows if Shopee will acknowleged their mistake or system inadequacy.

I try to avoid buying expensive items online. Had a similar situation happen to me b4...item was only RM50+. Anyways I contacted the seller and told them I had received the item...it was not lost. Shopee had already refunded me. I transferred the cost of item to the seller's maybank, no ragrets
