Ministry of Defence also starting 2024 will tender the new army camp at that land. Kem Skudai. rm400mil++ already approved during last year budget to build the camp on this land. And another RM600mil++ expected to be approved in 2-3 years time for the Army Quarter's Housing.

The army camp & the hospital will share the same land. Mindef already set the portion for KKM. But KKM/state not agree with the portion that Mindef propose.

(New Minister & new Agong will be a big influnce on this decision later)

The contractor failed to finished the project, started on year 2000. Abandon after 18% progress. 2018 finally Govt win the case at Federal Court and contractor need to pay rm200mil++ to govt for the failure. After that case settled, Mindef bid for budget to restart the project. Only this year budget finally it was approved.

Yup, approved budget already. Now still on early pre-development stage within mindef and jkr as the project SO. Usually will take 8-12 months before officially tendered. Plus with this land issue with KKM some more. Expected this issue will delay the project.

Now geran already transfer to KKM right?

Why so slow?

F**K! The taman intersection flyover going to be jam as f**k! Ask any skudai people about the exit in front of the old majlis building. Soo many que cutting sons of b*thces. Should have built at Iskandar Puteri aka the ghost town.

Because government have this land at skudai since 20 years ago at least.

The surrounding area of Kampung Poh Chee Leng already experiences frequent traffic jams, especially near the old MBIP building (Skudai Parade Mall).
If a hospital is indeed built there, Jalan Skudai from 6 pm to 7 pm could experience traffic congestion similar to Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Bintang area.

The govt shud improve the existing hospital. It's a  very horrible place, building & staff wise.

Should have built it near Sultan Ibrahim stadium which has lots of parking n can be accessed by Pontian, Kulai, Senai & BP residents. More efficient road network too as it is beside a 2nd link interchange. Land cost could be higher since it is private land.
