Interesting feedback regarding congestion and network issues requiring restart of the modem.
I’ve used my X50-5G for two months now. Very stable & consistent with YES 5G. I brought it to Penang mainland for a weekend trip, and I love how it just works — but best to place somewhere near window. Penang’s speed was slower at around 200mbps. Still 5G but I guess signal not as strong. My own place DSL upstairs 500mbps, downstairs no 5G.
Just brought the same unit over to my parent’s place and deployed it there. Parent’s place double story, downstairs can get 600mbps. Cutting the Maxis fiber there as well. Now I can monitor their network remotely using the Deco app.
After
cloudwan’s feedback that the NX510v can turn off WiFi, bought that unit for my own use, since I will be using my ASUS routers and AiMesh. Tmr gotta go to a YES store and pick up the sim.
I’ve got one bnib X50-5G to let go below market price <RM900. And a bnib X50 node to let go as well after deciding to try the NX510v. I am not a trader, just backside itchy want to switch. Who interested hmu. Fcfs one unit saja.

Thinking of upgrading Zyxel to X50-5G because of the good feedback from many ppl claiming they get 3x speed before and after using Deco. Right now I'm getting around only 100Mbps/15Mbps download/upload and playing PlayStation online games is a nightmare due to lagging. I wonder is it because wifi broadband itself causing it or can it be solved by buying a better modem router.
Anyone here can advise kah?
To be fair I don’t think a NX510v/x50-5G is any faster than a
properly working Zyxel. Just that the sellers are mixing lemons and it’s a hit or miss. I pity people who bought it thinking it is 5G when it’s faulty. The Zyxel I got connected to 5G (YES did not deduct the 100GB for 4G connection) but my speed was stuck at 4G, never exceeding ~120mbps. Same YES sim in same location gave me 500mbpss with X50-5G.
But your 100mbps dl speed seems to be weak. Did you test 5G on your mobile and what speed it get? I use phone as a benchmark to compare. If your phone can get 300mbps at the same spot as the Zyxel, then you can throw the Zyxel out the window.
