Hello everyone. I've just subscribed to U Home 5G and received a Huawei Brovi H153-381. However, the WiFi signal is too weak for my house

I'm currently deciding whether I should add a mesh system, upgrade to a better WiFi router, or use a WiFi extender

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated  notworthy.gif

I just plug a cable from the Huawei to my existing router+mesh node.. done. But mine is an old Asus RT-AC86U , still more powerful than any free router you get from telco. If I were you I would get a cheap 3 node mesh like this one. During lazada sales can get it below 300 bucks.

Don’t be fooled thinking WiFi 6 is better than WiFi 5. A powerful WiFi 5 router will best a crappy WiFi 6 router anytime.

This Huawei CPE is extremely stable *touch wood*
And U Mobile speeds faster than Yes 5G consistently under same conditions.

WIFI6 is indeed better than WIFI5. If you are going to buy new mesh, then go with 6, not with 5.

The only reason to stick with WIFI5 is purely to save cost if you already have existing router/mesh unit or just purely for 2.4GHz connectivity for smart home devices.

I said a cheap low end free wifi6 is worse than a high end WiFi5.

Just like how a 10 year old Porsche is better than your brand new Perodua.

But sure man. You feel newer crap is better than older top tier. Good for you.

Using a car to support your argument is really facepalm.

Anyway, you are free to offer your PoV but dont make claims like a higher tier old router is better than a low/mid tier next gen without any data to backup your claim.

You didn’t give any data to backup your claim either… so? lol

Netgear R7800 WiFi 5 high end outperforms Tplink Archer AX10 in throughput.

And many more

You’re not smart, I proved it. Can’t prove you’re a complete idiot.

I'm using Zyxel NR5103E (v1), still using it with the 1X-22.

I was using YES Flexi 5G before switching to U Home 5G, using the same router I could say my experience with U Mobile was better. Faster download and upload speed, latency is also lower though YES is RM 10 cheaper.

I can echo this. I was using YES 5G broadband, and it just kept getting slower and slower.. from 300mbps to < 100mbps.. switched to U Mobile and speed back to 300mbps

It's not a location issue ya, I got same Yes 5G plan in Seremban and Klang Valley running TP-Link Qualcomm chips.. so confirm it is YES problem.

Anybody on the ZTE G5B? How does it compare to the Huawei H153? I cannot seem to find confirmation that the G5B uses Qualcomm.

I am using the H153, it is stable (2 months never restart) and fast - can hit same speeds as the TPLINK x55
