Canai got another meaning fyi.

So meaning the locals at the time choose a word that they can identify with la.

Funny that SG still follows the same as in 50s

Meat certified sourced from halal places ma. Most nons always think halal only mean pork free. Chicken may also not be halal if not slaughtered in correct way. Veges to if contaminated with non halal ingredients also not halal. Deswai need to certify the kitchen comply with halal practices.

So gerai gerai malay that have flies and dirty is not halal right?

I think Kanna miscalculated already for you unless you ordered more

Two rice set + one protein is roughly 30+
Plus 2 drinks max 40+

Won't reach 60+

Next time can ask cashier give breakdown if the amount abnormal
*
it even comes with a receipt
and yes, i'm shocked when they told me the final price
i only got 1 protein to share, didn't even take like others do

elderly don't even eat BLR at kanna, they just order something like roti with meat in it

so ya, after that i avoid BLR at all cost until i can find a reasonably priced one

I think so because SG was part of Malaya back then. Only 60s they split.

Sidetrack,

All the pasar malam, roadside makcik pakcik stalls i think auto halal no need cert also.

The halal cert is not cheap depending on states and more for marketing eg fast moving consumer goods apart from higher end eateries.

99% of Kelantan food outlets probably don't need such certification, I think.
