As long they don't claim its malay dish, then should be fine la.

I just cringe if suddenly thosai becomes a new name. Just like roti canai. Originally it is roti prata (same name in India and SG). Funny that even SG didn't claim and change roti prata name

theres a non halal banana leaf rice shop? where is it

Generally those more Hindu based can consider non halal lor. Those with patung and so on.
But 1 thing for sure, the banana leaf in those places much better than the 'halal' ones.

I think Kanna miscalculated already for you unless you ordered more

Two rice set + one protein is roughly 30+
Plus 2 drinks max 40+

Won't reach 60+

Next time can ask cashier give breakdown if the amount abnormal

if you ate in Nirwana Taipan before, you should try out Canai 15 Cafè @ SS14
that price like bananaleafbro but as good as Nirwana back before they changed management. Nirwana nowadays sucks, run by banglas. ate there 2 months ago, paid MYR 83 for 2 pax meal, 1 chicken and 1 mutton, lassi x2. papadam was soft, asked for refill of vege, they charge me extra MYR10

I wonder how it become roti canai. It's like more than 30 years ago it was roti canai. who introduced that particular term? 30 years ago mostly mamak restaurant sell it.

Maybe one mamak popularize the term and spread out.

I have no idea also. I guess perhaps they dont know how to explain prata.

Prata means to lay it flat.
