QUOTE(bananajoe @ Jun 19 2023, 01:50 PM) Why fish and sotong ? If crab I understand because of dua alam issue Crab i dont know why they dont bring up dua alam. Thats why you see crab stew in malay shops. Fish and sotong no specific way to slaughter via halal method. So when muslim go to place with dubious halal sources locally overseas just eat seafood or vege eg fish fillet in mcd

QUOTE(Aaron212 @ Jun 19 2023, 01:57 PM) seafood caught by cina fisherman can buy cook n eat no issues but chicken, mutton etc killed by nons cannot caz u need to slaughter the animal as fast as swift as possible to minimize sufferings its like that Ah OK. So the slaughter process is only for land animals like. Chicken and goat/cow. For fish, no need right ?

Actually mudcrab is damn tasty and full of meat. On the other hand, sea crab is little meat and fragile soft shell

Even utensils used to cook must not be mixed. I think need to clarify that halal is two fold Part 1 how it was slaughtered Part 2 how it was prepared Part 1 everyone understands or have an idea Part 2 sometimes people turn blind eye like the sketchiest of eateries people still go because helmed by muslim proprietor.

QUOTE(Natsukashii @ Jun 19 2023, 02:09 PM) This is auto halal because owner and staff Muslim? Or actually has halal cert? Sidetrack, All the pasar malam, roadside makcik pakcik stalls i think auto halal no need cert also. The halal cert is not cheap depending on states and more for marketing eg fast moving consumer goods apart from higher end eateries. 99% of Kelantan food outlets probably don't need such certification, I think.
