Can you convert in and out on the same day?

Also, there is obviously a conversion fee, which is the bid-ask spread.

Typical credit card conversion fee for foreign currency transactions do not have a bid-ask spread, but instead a 1% or 2% fee based on the actual exchange rate.

the fees are within that conversion rate. their rates are quite high compared to others like Wise or Maybank. When you convert it back to MYR you'll be able to see the spread difference and lose out on that. That's the fee.

Separately, if I want to use the foreign currency to transfer out, have you tried that? are there TT / transfer charges?

after sell the amount will back to your smart acc, to use the money just use with your debit card. it will automatic deduct if you have the currency bal. if you use Eur 20 it just minus the exact amount without fees.

i brought the Euro at 4.928 last month, if sell seem good rate.

7th of the month is on-time based on the revised T&C. Last 2 months, they had system issues which have been resolved.

Normally is 2% if the joy@work is activated , somehow felt this rhb system is quite buggy on this smart account.

so u mean u just transfer from your other acc to capture as salary. It is not your actual company transfer salary to this joy@work acc? Its work like this?

No, it is an actual salary credit from my company.

To be fair I only activated Joy@Work last month (Aug 2025) so perhaps it does last only 6mths like one of the comments mentioned; post that they will need to see company salary being credited into the account. But will need to wait and see.

own this acc for 2 months, it is simple n very straight forward.

50k (for max bonus rate) saving you got 0.05%
salary will bank in this acc, . thus acheive 2% (every month min 2k in n joy work).

and monitor the MAB got it 1k+ increase from previous month then transfer out the money for max bonus rate.
acheive 3 more tasks to have 4.8%. (1.6% each).

task 1: jompay using monthly SI RM25 for 3 bills is fine.
task 2 : spend credit or debit card, not need to trace, alway above 1k.

task 3 : optional. (can buy USD maybe, it seem low RM4.20 = USD1) hmm.gif will it goes lower.

and the interest pay will calculated based on your MAB.
if >100k every months, thus you get

30days a month.
100k x 0.05% pa = RM4.11 credit to you account on end of the month
100k x 6.8% pa = RM558.90 credit to your acc on 7th of the month.

Even this is easy. You can put in RM3,000 and get back RM2,980 instantly, which is a "cost" of RM20. Worth it if you get an additional 1.6% returns per month with balance >RM50k.

It is easy/painless to open the account via the app and you can trade instantly.

I'm just wondering if it is mandatory to activate the debit card. I have received it - haven't activated yet. And as such I've yet to be charged the annual fee of RM20.

you had try same day buy n sale currency?

for the debit card, you can keep it, use oversea with multicurrency at fixed rate that you had purchase with no fees at all. certain currency will have interest also.
