QUOTE(masz94 @ Jan 18 2012, 07:15 AM) Yes, AP u can apply n buy here.. But, if wanna but from the ministry/authority, they wont let u... They only give the AP those cronies... So, if want to buy bike's AP, need to go direct to the said bike importer, n then need to prepare 20-30k for each AP lar Bro |

if its easy to get AP then no 1 will buy bikes and car here
if u buy lets say r1 from naza, i would say that they only spent around 30-40k to get the bike here then upped the price to 80-90k for u and me |

From the requirement, u must be working or study at least 1 year abroad.
The bike u owned in overseas must be at least 9 months old minimum. The ownership and insurance must be under your name for that period. Compulsory. Let say i want to bring back my bike, additional to above, i need my RP here cancelled, termination or resignation letter from company which mean i m going back for good. Go back and apply AP (MITI bla..bla...) . In Malaysia to register the bike, they need all above document, ownership card (no "geran" here) plus invoice of the bike (purchase proof). Also, u must have B full From there they will calculate how much you need to pay. Still have to pay even it is using AP but the amount is less depending on model year and purchased price. They will give you the price to pay, then you can appeal or nego. Once registered, ownership cannot be transferred before 2 years. U can sell but cannot change name. Last week my friend going back for good. He paid here around RM3k including insurance, box for the bike and shipping. Daytona 675 (08 model i think). He bought it last time (used bike) for around RM17k Just my opinion |

monaz has shared good insight on the procedures and what to expect for bring back vehicles from abroad.
Those that I know that brought their vehicles back strongly believes there is a sentimental bond between them and the machines. Some just brings it back for profitable gains. Anyone residing in Japan? Need help to source for apparels. Added on January 20, 2012, 11:59 pm QUOTE(maslam @ Jan 17 2012, 10:17 AM) Hodaka Motoworld, PJCC. They have quite a good range of RS Taichi and Komine apparels. Their price is quite competitive as well. This post has been edited by phobian: Jan 20 2012, 11:59 PM |

Even the bike is cheap here, selling terms mostly cash only.
Cheaper parts for repairing or accesorries need to get from online. You have cash but parts are not available, still useless or only choice for damn expensive price Added on January 21, 2012, 1:34 amMy friend's 675 ready to send back to Malaysia. See the export plate number? Local police will provide you once you de-register the bike, means you cleared all your documentation, inspection or offence if any ![]() This post has been edited by monaz: Jan 21 2012, 01:34 AM |

QUOTE(phobian @ Jan 21 2012, 08:42 PM) Well he's still new in getting used to that 1.3l bike. When going uphill, he can't accelerate up properly, engine failed on him, and then he had to land on his left.nd the clutch levers are die cast :/ .So disappointing to see the stand on BMW is so small compared to others. |
