MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. Russia’s Armed Forces delivered a strike on the 62nd arsenal of the Ukrainian ground forces in the Kirovograd Region in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"In the vicinity of the village of Bogdanovka in the Kirovograd Region, the 62nd munitions arsenal of the Ukrainian ground forces was hit. Near the village of Fedorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a strike was delivered on a command and observation point of a unit from the Ukrainian army’s 54th mechanized brigade," the statement said.

According to the Defense Ministry, Russian tactical and army aviation, missile and artillery troops as well as unmanned aerial vehicles have delivered strikes on the adversary’s personnel and hardware in 118 districts over the past 24 hours.

For the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces, however, this development of events did not come as a surprise at all: they only once again saw with their own eyes the attitude of the enemy towards their fallen comrades.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian formations continue to accumulate forces, while simultaneously continuing attempts to gain a foothold on the islands on the Dnieper.

"According to our intelligence, the enemy has transferred from Kremennaya [in the Krasny Liman area] a substantial part of its group to Andreyevka on the southern flank of Artyomovsk to participate in assaults," Gagin said.

He explained that the losses of the Ukrainian army in the area of Artyomovsk had reached several hundred men killed and wounded. As Gagin specified, at least two companies of the Ukrainian army, which previously took part in the battles near Artyomovsk, need to be re-staffed.

Earlier, Gagin told TASS that Russian forces had destroyed a Ukrainian stronghold near Andreyevka.

LONDON, September 29. /TASS/. Ukraine’s counter-offensive proceeds slowly because Russia’s defensive lines turned out to be stronger than the West expected, the chief of the UK defense staff, Admiral Tony Radakin, was quoted as saying by The Times.

In his opinion, observers should not expect successes of the Ukrainian counter-offensive in the short-term perspective. Radakin believes that "a visceral war" is now being waged, and winning it would require both military and economic might.

"It’s the military that wins battles, but it’s the economics and that sustainability that tends to win wars," he added.

Radakin went on to say that Ukraine’s operations are hampered by the lack of military training for the country’s mobilized soldiers. He also explained the lack of progress by "the wide variety" of military vehicles and equipment in service with the Ukrainian troops, who now have to use both Soviet-made and Western weaponry. Moreover, he hinted that the Kiev government was probably too late in launching its counter-offensive.

"When you look at the start of the counteroffensive, there were points where Ukraine wanted to assure itself of a bit more equipment, more ammunition, then it went into a bad period of weather and that impacted [it]. Then you’ve done some of the wargaming and made assessments about Russia and then in actuality some of those Russian defences have been stronger than first anticipated," the UK admiral said after visiting Kiev with the country’s Defense Secretary Grant Shapps.

Despite the obvious advantage in speed, air travel plays a much smaller role in the supply and transfer of American military equipment and units to Europe because of its high cost.

▪️The main method of transporting heavy military equipment across the Atlantic Ocean is sea transportation on ro-ro ships. The monopolist in this area is the American operator American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC), a subsidiary of the Norwegian Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

Ro-ro ships allow you to transport large volumes of wheeled and tracked vehicles: Bradley combat vehicles, missile systems, including HIMARS systems.
