⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation

▫️Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have launched a group strike with long-range precision weapons and strike drones against temporary deployment sites of foreign mercenaries and sabotage groups training points of the AFU. All the facilities have been neutralised. The goal of the attack has been reached.

▫️In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces, in cooperation with aviation and artillery, have successfully repelled seven attacks by AFU assault groups close to Spornoye, Berestovoye, and Mayorsk (Donetsk People's Republic).

▫️The enemy losses were up to 445 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, one tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, and 11 motor vehicles.

▫️In addition, in the course of counter-battery warfare, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system and two D-30 howitzers have been destroyed.

▫️One ammunition depot of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU has been also destroyed near Zvanovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

▫️In Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian grouping of troops, aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems have repelled two attacks by the 71th Jaeger Brigade of the AFU close to Verbovoye (Zaporozhye region).

▫️In addition, AFU 21st and 65th mechanised brigades' manpower and hardware clusters have been hit close to Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka, and north of Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).

▫️The enemy losses were up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles, and three motor vehicles.

▫️During the counter-battery warfare, one U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery system, one D-20 gun, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and four D-30 howitzers have been destroyed.

▫️In Krasny Liman direction, as a result of coordinated actions of units of the Tsentr Group of Forces, Army Aviation and artillery, two attacks by assault groups of the 67nd Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been repelled north of Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic).

▫️In addition, one manpower and hardware concentration area of the 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade has been hit near Serebryansky forestry.

▫️The enemy losses were up to 55 Ukrainian servicemen, two infantry fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and two D-30 howitzers.

▫️In South Donetsk direction, aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces have struck manpower and hardware of the 56th Motorised Infantry Brigade of the AFU and the 110th Territorial Defence Brigade close to Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

▫️In addition, two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the AFU have been eliminated near Marfopol (Zaporozhye region)

▫️The enemy losses were up to 125 Ukrainian servicemen, two motor vehicles, one D-20 gun, and two D-30 howitzers.

▫️In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have hit manpower and hardware clusters of 14th, 43rd and 66th mechanised brigades of the AFU near Sinkovka, Peschanoye, and Cherneshchyna (Kharkov region).

▫️The enemy losses were up to 25 Ukrainian servicemen, two motor vehicles, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

▫️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 90 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, two motor vehicles, two D-30 howitzers.

▫️In addition, one ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been destroyed close to Nikolayevka (Kherson region).

▫️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have eliminated command and observation posts of 105th, 122nd territorial defence brigades near Krasnogorovka (Donetsk People's Republic), and Kherson, as well as enemy manpower and military hardware in 116 areas during the day.

▫️The Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed one Mig-29 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force close to Dolgintsevo airfield (Dnepropetrovsk region).

▫️Air defence facilities have shot down 7 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.

▫️In addition, 33 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been hit close to Belogorovka, Lisichansk (Lugansk People's Republic), Aleksandrovka, Berestovoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Shevchenko, Novoye, Ilchenkovo, and Tokmak (Zaporozhye region).

🔻 In Bakhmut, the situation remains practically unchanged - there is a positional struggle with the mutual use of weapons, from artillery and aviation to FPV drones.

▪️ According to many channels, Russian paratroopers conducted a successful attack on enemy positions in the Orekhovo-Vasilivka area. To date, there is no detailed information about the assault, so for now the events there remain in the "fog of war".

▪️ On the southern flank, the front line at the Kleshcheevka-Andreevka-Kurdyumivka line is also without significant changes. Periodically, the Armed Forces of Ukraine try to advance into Russian positions in small groups, but to no avail.

▫️ In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces, in cooperation with aviation and artillery, repelled four attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces near Krasnogorovka, Pervomayskoye, and Khimik (Donetsk People's Republic). During the day, over 310 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed or injured, as well as five tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, and eight motor vehicles. In counter-battery warfare, the Russian troops hit one U.S.-made M777 artillery system, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

◽️ In Zaporozhye direction, two attacks of AFU 71st Jaeger and 36th Airmobile brigades near Verbovoye (Zaporozhye region) were repelled by actions of the Russian Group of Forces units, air strikes and artillery fire. Up to 70 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, and three motor vehicles have been neutralised. Also, one U.S.-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system and one D-30 howitzer were hit during counter-battery warfare.

▫️ In Kupyansk direction, the Zapad Group of Forces units supported by aviation and artillery inflicted fire damage on the enemy near Berestovoye (Kharkov region) and Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic). Up to 50 Ukrainian troops and two motor vehicles have been neutralised. One Gvozdika self-propelled artillery guns was eliminated. Moreover, two AFU field command posts were annihilated close to Seredina-Buda (Sumy region) and Kislovka (Kherson region).

▫️ In Krasny Liman direction, three attacks launched by assault detachments of the 67th Mechanised Brigade and the 12th Special Forces Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces close to Chervonaya Dibrova and Kuzmino (Lugansk People's Republic) were repelled by professional efforts of the Tsentr Group of Forces, helicopter strikes, and artillery fire. In addition, strikes were delivered at clusters of enemy manpower and hardware near Grigorovka (Donetsk People's Republic) and Serebryansky forestry.

▫️ During the day, the enemy has lost more than 90 Ukrainian personnel killed and injured, as well as two armoured fighting vehicles, and two pick-up trucks. Also, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system and one D-20 howitzer were hit during counter-battery warfare.

▫️ In South Donetsk direction, the Vostok Group of Forces, supported by helicopters and artillery inflicted fire damage on AFU units near Rovnopol and repelled one enemy attack close to Staromayorskoye (Donetsk People's Republic). The enemy's losses over the past 24 hours have amounted to up to 120 Ukrainian personnel killed or injured, two armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, and one D-20 howitzer.

◽️ In Kherson direction, over 15 Ukrainian servicemen and ten motor vehicles have been neutralised.

▫️ Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged AFU manpower and hardware in 117 areas during the day. In addition, a Ukrainian Anklav anti-UAV electronic warfare station was uncovered and destroyed near Dnepropetrovsk (Dnepropetrovsk region). An ammunition depot of the 124th Territorial Defence Brigade has been wiped out close to Kiselyovka (Kherson region).

▫️ Russian Aerospace Forces have eliminated one MiG-29 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force at the Kulbakino airfield near Kulbakino, Nikolayev region.

▫️ Air defence systems have shot down five HIMARS MLRS shells, one JDAM guided bombs, and one U.S.-made HARM anti-radiation missile during the day. In addition, 57 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed near Artyomovsk, Spartak, Nevelskoye, Novopetrikovka (Donetsk People's Republic), Lisichansk (Lugansk People's Republic), Krynki, Kazachyi Lageri (Kherson region), Veliky Vyselok (Kharkov region), Tokmak and Pologi (Zaporozhye region).

MOSCOW, September 26. /TASS/. Ukraine has lost more than 17,000 soldiers so far this month, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu told a ministry board meeting. According to him, Kiev lost three Western-made tanks, including two German Leopards and a British Challenger.

The defense chief also said that Russian troops had advanced in the Kupyansk direction as he announced plans to improve the combat capabilities of the country’s airborne troops as well as the Eastern and Southern military districts.

On Russia’s special op
"Russian battlegroups persevere with active efforts to defeat the enemy," Shoigu said. Among other things, in the Kupyansk area, the control zone near the settlements of Sinkovka and Petropavlovka has been significantly extended," the Russian defense chief added.

"This month, over 17,000 soldiers, more than 2,700 weapons and military equipment units, including seven US-made Bradley fighting vehicles, 77 US M777 howitzers, 51 self-propelled howitzers made in Germany, France, Poland and the United States as well as two German-made Leopard tanks and a British-made Challenger tank have been eliminated," Shoigu told a ministry board meeting, commenting on the special military operation.

According to Shoigu, the Ukrainians have sustained heavy military losses along the entire line of engagement. "This month, over 17,000 soldiers and more than 2,700 weapons and military equipment units have been eliminated," he said.

In particular, Kiev lost two Leopard tanks and a Challenger tank, as well as seven Bradley fighting vehicles, Shoigu reported, and the Russian military also destroyed 51 Western-made self-propelled howitzers.

Despite the counteroffensive's lack of any tangible results, the United States and its allies continue to send arms to Ukraine, while the Kiev regime "has been sacrificing untrained troops in senseless attacks, to slaughter," he said. "Such shameless actions by the West and its minions in Kiev are only bringing Ukraine to the brink of self-destruction."

On strengthening of airborne troops
A new airborne regiment of the Tula Airborne Division began to carry out combat missions earlier in the year, Shoigu said, and the formation of another regiment of the Ivanovo Division is in its final stages and the 104th Airborne Division is about to be created.

This year, Russia’s airborne troops have received more than 2,000 military hardware units and 5,500 pieces of equipment in the form of landing gear and parachute systems.

"In general, the implementation of drafted measures for the airborne troops will make it possible to increase their combat potential by 1.3 times by the end of the year, while their fire power will grow by 20%," he said.

Building up strength of Eastern, Southern military districts
While the military and political situation is trending in the wrong direction in the eastern strategic direction, troops of the Eastern military district "have been increasing operational and combat training activities," Shoigu said. He recalled that the Pacific Fleet maneuvers, involving more than 11,000 mariners and 67 warships and auxiliary ships, were held in June. In July, Russia and China conducted joint exercises in which 12 vessels and 38 aircraft and helicopters took part, and the Finval-2023 drills involving some 10,000 personnel took place in September.

Before the end of this year, 26 activities will be held in the Eastern military district in conjunction with the delivery of 1,200 of the latest armaments.

A total of more than 170 activities will be held in the Southern military district this year, with troops receiving 5,500 cutting-edge weapons and weaponry systems.

On training centers
According to Shoigu, the Defense Ministry plans to open another eight training centers, bringing their total number nationwide to 128. "As a result, they will have representation in 75 Russian regions," he concluded.
