Russia says its forces repulsed four Ukrainian attacks in Donetsk People’s Republic
Aircraft, artillery and heavy weapons of the Russian battlegroups also repelled two attacks by the Ukrainian army’s 47th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region

MOSCOW, September 5. /TASS/. Russian forces repelled four attacks by Ukrainian assault units in the Donetsk area over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a daily bulletin of the special military operation.

Here are the details of this and other combat actions that happened over the past day, according to the bulletin.
Donetsk area

The four attacks by Ukrainian assault groups in the Donetsk area were repelled by units of the Battlegroup South, which acted in coordination with aircraft and artillery, and engaged the enemy near the settlements of Kleshcheyevka and Veseloye.

"The Ukrainian army lost up to 225 troops, who were either killed or wounded," the ministry said.

Apart from that, a drone control center was wiped out near the settlement of Pervomaiskoye in the DPR. Ukrainian forces also lost two armored vehicles, nine motor vehicles, a US-made M777 artillery system and a Grad multiple launch rocket system.
Zaporozhye area

Russian forces repelled two attacks by Ukrainian troops near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region.

"In the Zaporozhye area, aircraft, artillery and heavy weapons of the Russian battlegroups repelled two attacks by the Ukrainian army’s 47th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region during the day," the ministry said.

A munitions depot of the Ukrainian 46th airborne brigade was wiped out near the settlement of Orekhovo in the Zaporozhye Region.

"Up to 170 Ukrainian troops were neutralized, three US-made M777 artillery systems and an M119 howitzer, a German-made Panzerhaubitze-2000 self-propelled artillery system, a UK-made FH-70 gun, a D-20 and a D-30 howitzers were destroyed," the ministry said.
Kupyansk area

Russia’s Battlegroup West neutralized up to 50 Ukrainian troops.

"In the Kupyansk area, the aviation and artillery of the Battlegroup West hit the enemy manpower and weapons near the settlements of Sinkovka, Peschanoye and Berestovoye in the Kharkov Region, and Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Up to 50 Ukrainian troops were neutralized, two motor vehicles and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed," the ministry said.
Krasny Liman area

Ukrainian forces lost up to 70 personnel and a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery in the Krasny Liman area.

"Three attacks by assault units of Ukraine’s 63rd, 67th Mechanized brigades were repelled near settlements of Torskoye in the DPR and Chervonaya Dibrova in the LPR by coordinated actions of Battlegroup Center, strikes of army aviation and fire from artillery and heavy flamethrower systems. The enemy lost over 70 personnel, 3 armored vehicles, a Polish-made Krab artillery system and a D-20 howitzer," the ministry said.
South of the Donetsk People’s Republic

"In the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the battlegroup East delivered fire on two clusters of Ukrainian manpower and equipment near the localities of Ugledar and Makarovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

Near Urozhainoye in the DPR, a Ukrainian subversive group was stopped. The enemy suffered roughly 175 casualties and lost four vehicles and two howitzers.
Kherson area

Russian forces have eliminated up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen in the Kherson area, including two sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

"In the Kherson area, up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, including two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups, two motor vehicles and two D-30 howitzers were taken out as a result of fire strikes during the past day," the ministry said.

The Russian Armed Forces hit a Ukrainian brigade command posts near Ugledar and Razdolovka in the DPR.

"Strikes were inflicted on command posts of Ukraine’s 72nd Mechanized brigade near the city of Ugledar and 8th Mountain assault brigade near the settlement of Razdolovka in the DPR," the ministry said.

Russian aviation, artillery and rocket forces hit enemy personnel and vehicles in 132 areas.

Twenty-one HIMARS and Uragan rockets fired by Ukrainian troops were intercepted by Russian air defense systems and 33 Ukrainian drones were shot down by Russian electronic warfare systems.

"Air defense systems intercepted 21 HIMARS and Uragan rockets," the ministry said.

Also, 33 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were jammed and destroyed by electronic warfare systems near the settlements of Topolevka, Zaliman and Krasnorechenskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic; Berestovoye, Petrovskoye, Semigorye and Veseloye in the Donetsk People’s Republic; Kharkovo, Romanovskoye, Mirnoye and Ocheretovatoye in the Zaporozhye Region; and Golaya Pristan and Novaya Mayachka in the Kherson Region.

Kherson direction

In the Kherson region, the situation remains the same: Ukrainian formations continue to shell the opposite bank, creating conditions for reconnaissance groups to cross the Dnieper.

🔻And if the situation has stabilized in the island zone in the Golopristan sector and the AFU are limited only to strikes, then east of Kherson, the activity of Ukrainian formations does not decrease.

Under the Antonovsky Bridge once again landed two recon groups of the territorial defense in two boats of ten people each. Russian artillery works on them, but the AFU use the concrete columns of the bridge as a cover.

🔻It also remains unclear the fate of the reconnaissance groups of the 124th brigade of the territorial defense of the AFU, which a few days ago were transferred (https://t.me/rybar/51418) to the left bank on Alekseevsky Island, 1 km east of the Antonovsky Bridge.

Until now, there is a foothold of the AFU a few kilometers northwest of Podstepne, where about ten people from the 126 Territorial Defense brigade are equipping fortified strongholds and preparing for an attack on Cossack Camps.

❗️At the same time, these areas are more likely to be distracting, and the main blow, judging by the movements of the AFU, will be concentrated on the island of Pereyaslavsky (Kozatsky), where the recon groups 121 Brigade and 131 orbs of the AFU are planned to be deployed.

After securing on the island, they plan to land several assault groups to reach Novaya Kakhovka. In recent days, artillerymen of the 406th Artillery Brigade from Tamarino have been shelling this area with high-precision M982 Excalibur projectiles.

And the timing of the start of the operation on the Dnieper depends on the success of the AFU in the Orikhiv sector, since movement in depth is possible only if the AFU break through the first line of defense of the Russian Armed Forces.

Orekhovsky area

🔻At the turn of Rabotino - Verbovoe, Ukrainian formations cannot break through the line of defense of the Russian army for a week. There are tactical successes, but it was not possible to capture Rabotino, and they never entered the Verbovoye Armed AFU of Ukraine.

All yesterday, Ukrainian air assault brigades attacked with consolidated infantry groups either east of Rabotino or west of Verbovoye. What is there, that it was not possible to gain a foothold there, some of the assault groups of 82 Air Assault Brigade refused to fight, and one of the commanders was taken prisoner.

The number of casualties in the tactical group "Marun" is growing. Now, for the first time in a long time, units of the 71st Jaeger Brigade have appeared near the contact line, which have been understaffing since the battles for Bakhmut.

🔻And, looking at the movements of reinforcements (which are also noted near Lobkove, where vacations were suspended for the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade ), one gets the impression that the AFU are preparing for a new attack on a wide front.

And this time more massive. Mobile fireteams have been deployed to Malaya Tokmachka to cover ground forces, and the destruction of the British Challenger indicates their movement to the line of contact.

Probably, the tank was moving to its original position before the offensive, which should begin in the near future, but came under the exact blow of the artillerymen of the Russian Armed Forces.

❗️The military campaign of the Ukrainian troops in the south of Ukraine depends on the success in this area, since operations in the Kherson region are possible only if the AFU break through to Tokmak. However, the spring-summer, and now autumn, operation of the enemy is obviously faltering, and the loss of the first Challenger reduces the amount of "super-equipment" that should turn the tide of the war.

North Ukrainian direction

🔻A mass shelling of peaceful cities and towns with artillery and mortars continues along the border regions. At the same time, only one of the six Bogdan self-propelled guns delivered in the 1st Brigade of special forces is in working order.

❗️Now, judging by the shift of Ukrainian formations to the northern regions of the Chernihiv region, one should expect attacks by sabotage groups in the direction of Klimovo and Suzemka in the Bryansk region to divert the attention of the Russian Armed Forces to this area in anticipation of an offensive on a broad front in the south.

The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has found a Ukrainian military officer guilty of rape and murder, committed in Mariupol in the spring of 2022, and sentenced him to 25 years in prison, the press service of Russia’s Main Military Prosecutor’s Office said.

The court "sentenced to 25 years in a high-security prison" senior lieutenant Sergey Batynsky, the deputy commander in charge of educational work at a military unit, which was part of the 36th brigade of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to case files presented in court, Batynsky and other servicemen of his military unit unlawfully detained a man and his common-law wife while patrolling the territory of the Azovmash plant on April 7, 2022, under the pretext of an ID check.

On the following day, Batynsky, while in the state of intoxication, went into a basement room where the detainees were held. There, he raped and sexually assaulted the woman. After that, he shot the woman's partner dead.

However, the AFU continue to try to advance to the southern outskirts and break through to Novoprokopovka, using the tactics of "meat assault".

That night, Russian units, due to the lack of tactical sense to defend the destroyed houses in the village, withdrew to prepared positions on the southern outskirts - for convenience, we marked the main fortified areas on the map.

The Ukrainian Government has reportedly spent at least $17.6 million on faulty drones. The revelations were made in a report by a Ukrainian investigative outlet. Kyiv ordered 55 Hawk Reconnaissance drones from the Ukrainian Aviation System (UAS). However, the report says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces received only four drones.
