Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has sacked his defence minister Oleksii Reznikov amid a flailing counteroffensive against Russia. Zelensky said that the Defence Ministry needs “new approaches” with the military amid the ongoing Russian invasion. Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov has submitted his resignation letter to the chairman of parliament. “It was an honour to serve the Ukrainian people and work for the (Ukrainian army) for the last 22 months, the toughest period of Ukraine’s modern history,” Reznikov said in a post on X. President Zelenskyy nominated Rustem Umerov, a Crimean Tatar who has been head of the State Property Fund since last year, to replace Reznikov.

Russian telegram reports that another Ka-52 Alligator has been lost off the sea of Azov probably near their base. Both crew members survived. I wonder how many more are left.

Russia’s air assault on Ukraine continued with drone blitz at a key Odesa port. According to reports, Russian forces fired 32 Iranian-made Shahed drones, while also launching the deadly Kinzhal missile in Ukraine. Putin’s Army also downed Ukranian drones over the Black Sea.


NATO Nation Romania has left Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky embarrassed. This as it rejected Ukraine's claims that Russian drones fell and detonated on the NATO Nation's territory last night. Russia launched 32 Iranian-made Shahed drones on Ukraine's Odesa region, targeting Izmail Port on the Danube River. Ukrainian officials shared pictures of one of the drones reportedly causing an explosion on the opposite bank of the River Danube in the Romanian territory.


Russian forces reportedly wiped out several Ukrainian strongholds, ammunition depots and armoured vehicles in the last 24 hours, as per the defence ministry. 655 Ukrainian soldiers were 'wiped out' as Russian Army foiled their advances in the past day. Russian air defence systems shot down Mi-8 chopper, 24 Ukrainian drones and intercepted three HIMARS projectiles. The Russian defence ministry also released footage of Ka-52 Alligators launching guided missile strikes on Ukrainian troops along the frontline.


The Russian and Ukrainian Armies are engaged in a bloody battle for Bakhmut. Ukraine claims to have made advances in Klischiivka near Bakhmut. However, the Russian defence ministry released a video of its troops forcing Ukrainian troops to retreat from Bakhmut. The video shows the Russian Army luring Ukrainian troops in the open area and then opening fire with machine guns. They can be seen using MANPADS to shoot down UAVs with missiles.

Zelensky visits armed forces brigades in Kiev-controlled part of DPR

MOSCOW, September 4. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky visited the armed forces brigades accommodation points in the Kiev-controlled parts of DPR.

"We are visiting the combat brigades <...> as part of the Donetsk operational and tactical group. 8 brigades today," Zelensky said on his Telegram channel, adding that he received reports on problems of supply and motivation of personnel.

On August 15, Zelensky visited positions in the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye Region and, one day earlier, he visited position on the Artyomovsk direction.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian army has been making futile offensive attempts since June 4. According to the Ministry, Ukrainian forces lost over 43,000 servicemen and about 5,000 vehicles in two months, including 26 planes and 25 Leopard tanks. Russian President Vladimir Putin underscored that Ukrainian forces achieved no success on any direction.
