“Motorola flash global rom rm** , no auto update and can’t update version any more”

does it mean if we flash to global rom, we will not received any update after that?

I did google diferences between CN rom vs global rom. but still not understand 🥲

I'm still using CN ROM and do not intend to flash to Global ROM.
Why? Because CN ROM officially supports Google Play Services. It's just a toggle in the settings app.

To make it simple, ALL APPS ARE WORKING IN CN ROM. No issue with Gapps, banking apps etc.

Just take note - ALL Google services are working EXCEPT Google Location History (blocked by CCP) and "hey Google" voice activation.

Anyway, Motorola flashing is a bit tricky but I read that there is a way to flash Global ROM and relock the bootloader (so you can still receive software updates). I don't plan on doing this because there are plenty of features CN ROM has which are missing in Global ROM.

Yes u can flash global Rom but it is a bit tricky and it may result to boot loop if all go south ... I have tried last time on 2022 and when want to return warranty when flash back CN Rom it was stuck in boot loop 😅

U can still get update as u need to set it to the correct region for update ..i managed to get 2 updates before I return for warranty

As for CN Rom it is almost the same as the global just that the update might be slow as I only got the May security patch this week
CN Rom will have a lot of CN app bloatware and may have issue of late notification as I am experiencing with whatsapp this week

Odd I can use location history on my map timeline though?? A different of A12 and A13 on CN Rom maybe?

Yes maybe as a second phone is better since the batt is small but if u want to use as hotspot maybe need to spare a power bank

For delayed notification, this is due to the Google framework missing in CN ROMs (not just Motorola).

Motorola is smart so they came up with a solution -
MOTO DEVICE SHIELD.

You have to do ALL STEPS BELOW. ALL.

STEP # 1
Go to Settings > Device Shield > Utility Tools (LOWER RIGHT TAB)
App auto start menu
Enable the apps you want to auto start after restarting your phone.



STEP # 2
Background running menu
Put the apps to Allow running in background.



AND LASTLY

STEP # 3
Go to App info (example WhatsApp) and put the app to UNRESTRICTED.




DONE.
NO DELAYED NOTIFICATION ISSUE. 10000% WORKING.
