i mean drag the clockspeed kaw kaw with clockgen,
then immediately save cpu-z validation file,
then submit to cpu-z server,
your name will occer in the top 10 list if you exceed 3738MHz

cos your 8800 eat a lot of power shakehead.gif

my CM real power 450W can drove my F3 to 3.5GHz plus another 2 SATA HDDs and 6600GT.

anyone here know what is the limit of vdimm that corsair warrantied?
@anyone
if i put 2.2vdim on my ram, will it burn without active cooling?
*
active cooling mainly to cool down the DDR chipsets.

I believe if Vdimm too high the module will still facing burn risk, especially the gold finger connectors.
this is related to the PCB designs/quality.

my hse electric bill is 3xx now =x normally is 1xx or 2xx only...i think coz i oc ....
*
Let say your rig fully loaded, turn on for 24Hrs and sucks 300W, 0.3kwh x 24hrs x Rm0.25 x 30 days = RM54.

In real world max 50% of RM54 (dun think u fully load yr rig for 7/24 right?).

Hmm....seem like your house got serious electricity leak issue (not water leak bro) doh.gif tongue.gif

Look at my screeny for power consumption example.

My F3 OC to 3.25GHz, Idling about 85W. At full load, my whole rig sucks 130W (running orthos and Rthdribl, excluding monitor).

F3 at stock speed 2GHz, idling 75W, full load 100W. (CnQ disable)
CnQ enable didn't help much, around 10% reduced in power consumption if I still remember my previous test.

So conclusion if compare 2GHz with OC 3.25GHz the power just increased about 30%.

OC did suck some juice but not that serious as u guys think of....so what you guys waiting for???
=====> faster book one F3 from bro db and OC kaw-kaw....sampai asap keluar, like put on dry ice ma! shakehead.gif

hmm...adding ram and gcard will increase cpu temp or no??
coz i using sis's 8600gt n fix 3.5gb ram now...but the temp is killing...even on stock speed
*
..but the temp is killing...even on stock speed===> which temp you mean? Case internal Temp?

RAM didn't increase temp much if compare to GC!

Buy those GC cooler that will exhaust hot air out from your casing like Artic NV Silencer.
Zalman type cooler have good cooling effect but the hot air will just dissipated inside the casing and increase overall temp smile.gif

Nope, not different RAM but rather different version of cpuz. One is 1.40 and the other is 1.41

1.40 stated /7 just like previous OCer who already submitted their benchies. 1.41 is the latest ones, stated /8 which making me confuse on which divider should I rely on while using 533 RAM divider
*
latest CPU-Z is v1.42 smile.gif

Experience With AMD Phenom + MSI K9A2 Platinum
* I'm new to O.C-ing AMD Platform. Any advice is greatly appreciated.  notworthy.gif
--- The Proc is Rm890, Mobo is RM550, Graphic card is RM 820. Got it all from SriCom @ LYP

Having alot of trouble with the MSI K9A2 Platinum Mobo + Phenom 9500

- Cannot boot stright away with USB mouse. Bios will ask u to press F1 to continue. It says " No PS/2 mouse detected. ( I'm using USB mouse )
- Ram running at Single Channel 5-5-5-18@800mhz when my ram is rated at 4-4-4-12@800Mhz
- No Option to change HT multiplier
[ Vista ]
1. AMD OverDrive won't run
2. MSI's own Dual Core Cell doesn't work either
3. HT multiplier stuck at 5X
4. Tried to CrossFire with 2X Sapphire Radeon HD3870, Performed like a single card. Single Card 3Dmark06 = 9735 points. Crossfire 3Dmark06 = 11452 points. (Using Catalyst 7.11)

[ XP ]
1. Won't automatically shut down the pc. Instead  show " It's safe to shut down your pc now" and you need to press the power button to shut down the pc. Like those Pentium 1 & II days.
2. AMD OverDrive works, but cannot adjust a single value
3. MSI Dual CoreCell works, but reporting my CPU at 100'c

So far, best result is 2.47Ghz @ 225FSB @ 5-5-5-18 @ 900 mhz [ Bios OC ]
Primed for 30min. CPU Temp at 54'c with stock HSF
*
about the usb mouse issue, try to look for BIOS "Advance option", enable usb mouse support...try look for this setting,
should help to solve the problem

no bro , install the stronger ram to nearest dimm slot will lower down ur oc  smile.gif
hmm...let's explain it with an example

assuming that i've 2 sticks of crucial 10th,
one stick can reach 1300 ( call it as stick A)
another one can reach 1280 ( call it as stick B)

if i put stick A to nearer to cpu area and stick B next to it (forming dual channel)
most probably i will get 1240 like that only

if i put stick B to nearest dimm slot,
i will get roughly around 1260-1270 like that wink.gif

the stronger stick should place at 2nd nearer dimm slot while the weaker one should place at nearest dimm slot in order to get best performance icon_rolleyes.gif
*
agreed as the stronger stick easier to OC and no need to put nearest to CPU..... tongue.gif

those hard to OC stick put near CPU lah! brows.gif

use 1.475 when trying 3.4 to stable it but fail... temp 67'C pwm 100'C
use 1.5 when prime pc direct shut down ... lol temp direct jump to holland...
so drop it to stable it at 3385 mhz with 1.450 vcore...
temp now is 61'C pwm 89'C when prime
my heatsink is thermal take sonic tower that no need fan at all using on cpu.... and added 2 12cm thermaltake fans....
so i can say ... only water can go beyong 3.4 to get it stable ....

I close my casing case by the way... to get the extream heat torture...
if in air cond room and open case... sure it dun go that hot or that much vcore....
*
Air Cool should be Ok till 3.5G@1.55V if Temp <65C.

I used An9 32X b4, if my memory serve me right, my F3 need 1.55V to do 3.5G,
anything below 1.55V, PI 32M failed!

At 1.55V the heat shoot up very fast, yr HSF can't take it.

If you really need to pass 3.5GHz, u should upgrade yr HSF.

CPU-Z can't read my AN9 Vcore corectly (over by 0.3+V), how about yours?

with WC my highest speed was 3.56G @ 1.55V (refer to the 1st page chart).
With WC and soaked the radiator in iced water highest was 3.7G@ 1.65V passed PI 1M test.

CPU-Z can read yr mobo Vcore correctly?

cpuz never read the uguru vcore well... even can't read them last time....

at 3.56GHz orthos for >10hrs stable.

Didn't test further.

As for 3.7GHz only passed PI 1M.

I won't recom to run 7/24 if >3.4GHz. Power consumption just too high to be justified.

mine set 1.450 and cpu-z show 1.848

It is rojak WC....swiftech water block + swiftech radiator + thermaltake pump combination. tongue.gif

as for my Vcore reading, CPU-Z will read +0.36V higher than actual Vcore.....quite close to your reading.

But my abit guru will crash once running together with CPU-Z.
