guys,my ram xms2 2gb kit can oc how high if i put it at 2.2v?
is it safe without other cooling solution?bcoz i thnk its enough wif the heat spreader for 2.2v(maximum) shakehead.gif

I hantam 2.65Vdimm to my Micron 800 512Mx2 @1200MHz+ with 40mm fans blowing on top...
tested >48hrs, so far so good...still alive doh.gif
But for 7/24 dunno how long it can last tongue.gif

My DDR2 with Vdimm >2.4V didn't feel any diff sad.gif

My 3800+ F3 update :
previously only able to boot up XP and passed PI 32M @ max 3.5GHz,
after some burn-in now it is able to boot from XP@3.55GHz@1.625Vcore and passed PI 32M smile.gif

I am using WC for both test (no iced water doh.gif tongue.gif )

Full load Temp@62C, 42C idling Temp.

only recom if got good cooler if set Vcore >1.5V, stock cooler i believe can't boot to XP @3.5G, at 1.6Vcore, temp increase is terrible!

unless your proc is dxxn good that can boot to 3.5G <1.5Vcore hmm.gif

Dxxn, I was hoping my DFI UltraII-M2 will OC better than my Abit AN9 32X...

Just switch 3800 F3 to DFI and Brisbane 3600+ to Abit...

Turned up Abit OC better than DFI rclxub.gif

F3 cant even POST in my DFI@3.4GHz....

Gonna check what happened!

Previously Brisbane in DFI need a lot of Tweaking to get >3GHz,
now in Abit within 5 minutes it already boot into XP @3070GHz....
now is testing PI 32M....

Walau eh...what happened to my DFI? cry.gif

bro PWS and CV6149...HELP! doh.gif

DFI seems need higher vcore to achieve the same speed as other boards do.
This is what i found out. smile.gif

-pWs-
*
You are right, previously my brisby need 1.60V in DFI to do 3GHz.
Now in Abit it almost finished 32M PI test at 3.07GHz@1.55 Vcore doh.gif

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

aiyo...it just passed PI 32M test....
Try to adjust Vcore to 1.525V and see what will happen...

haiya...confirmed Abit AN9 32X better OC than DFI babe...

DFI only able to push my brisby to 3GHz but Abit lead another 100MHz more shocking.gif

My previous F3@3.5GHz slow PI 32M results, 29m+ caused by my old datuk PATA HDD (Quantum Fireball 6.4GB).

I just ghost the same XP to new WD 80GB SATA and the brisby@3107MHz completed PI 32M in 28m+ thumbup.gif

So far didn't know that HDD speed will affect the PI results (for PI 1M i believe the results does not affected cos PI 32M involve a lot of HDD access activities)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AM2 3800 F3 PI 32M Update:

This is the correct PI 32M result (with faster SATA HDD now)

at 3.3GHz DDR2@1100MHz PI 32M result 23m+ compare to previous using old PATA HDD take 29m+ at 3.55GHz rclxub.gif

now i'm having the prob to hit 3.5.. i wonder now..
i rasa cam nak campak my raptoxx 550w jauh2 pun ader..
once u say voltage sensitive.. i will try to check it back la..
3.2ghz at 1.32xv.. when OR it become 1.296V..
flactuates too much..

surprisingly.. change now to TTBTVX
the temp from 47c load n it become 41c only at load..
even pump more vcore at 1.6v, i cant pass 3.5ghz.. sad gler..

NOW Staying at 3.2ghz with flactuates 1.29~1.32V
with HT link 1600mhz n my lovely DDR2-1066 at 2.2V 5-5-5-15-20-2T
*
bro,
for 3.5G OR,
try lower a bit on HTT (make sure it is not limit by HTT).

I believed the limitation is on the cooling side, what is the idling Temp @3.5G 1.6V?
OR fail after how long you run it?
