Ask the lawyer to check whether there is any stamp duty exemption order that covers the date of the SPA. Not all first purchase is entitled to stamp duty exemption.

There is only stamp duty exemption for first property if the government at that time (i.e. 10 yrs ago) made such order. So you need to check your S&P's date and check with LHDN or lawyer whether there is any such order made for that year.

Ask the lawyer to check Stamp Duty (Remission) (No. 4) Order 2012 that covers SPA dated between 1/1/2013 and 31/12/2014 for residential property costing not more than RM400,000.00

anyone know how much legal fee for receipt and reassignment, after loan completion? this one bank will assign lawyer wan or i need to find lawyer to do this?

currently ongoing on strata/individual title process, they said need to lantik lawyer to transfer title to bank. i want to bypass that by settling loan instead, hopefully prove of housing loan settlement is enough.
