same here, i turned off all the battle animation after watching them for a few times... i think so far it should have no relevance to the previous games. I'm still having doubt about the mechanic change though. particularly CO powers, kinda miss the tag power. We all know how unbalance some of the power can bring, example drake + olaf tag power... damaging all units to 4 damage per unit. well, i gotta say sometimes this kinda thing is annoying but a well verse player should know how to anticipate and plan their moves accordingly, e.g. use Sonya's power to remove some of the power off opponent CO's power meter. well, that's just a few tactics. Can't wait for it! 1 more week! bring it on~!

Wonder when is this gonna sampai?

The game's line has nothing to do with previous installments.

A whole new story! Well, yeah, so far I've learned, it has wifi play and infantry units can level up (eg: Ace unit). I just hate the new graphics! Grr...and hopefully more challenging.

ps: Sasha has that CO power, not Sonya/Sonja. Nah, I'm just blabbling around. Sorry....urgh..

1up.com's review has arrived! and it got an 8.5. great score... but i'm REALLY worried about the stuff that they've taken out of the game. war room is gone, survival, combat, all gone. hachi's store is gone too! well, yeah there's online mode and all. but now i'm thinking that i'll just be better off buying the GBA advance wars games... i've only played AW:DS sooo i'm not tired of the gameplay just yet.

I'm not surprised all the old stuff are out from the picture. Well, it's a completely new story! *smile/sad* However, I do hate the news that a CO must participate in a war fight to gain a meter power-up, worst is the effect will be AOE...not entire units/bases. Ahh, sure hope I'm wrong.

i think it's quite different. i've been relying too much on co's powers and this will re-invent gameplay itself.

One thing for sure, I hate this:

1. CO leaves the HQ with a bike and charges into battles beating up foes happily.
2. Bad luck strikes, poor CO...uhh the blood...the flesh...*fainted*
3. CO starts from HQ again and look, you need to move 40 squares to hit that tank...so on so on.

...but I will get used to it. Yeah, count on that. Hehe. Sure hope charging the power is still time effective.

ps: Nah, some rubbishes I got here...ignore them.

As with most friend code based game, both are needed to add each other before being able to play each other.

Then, once you both are added properly, I think you need to search game under the "friends" section.. Or something like that..

Although they taken out the CO tag team power, it's still fun and more balance on multiplayer (gameplay wise).

Advance Wars, don't know anything about the gameplay. I'm not one for too much tactical-strategy, but I did like Final Fantasy Tactics(PS1).
