DTS and DTS-ES is the regular ones found in DVDs. For BDs, we got the more advanced one DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and the advanced advance one is DTS-HD Master Audio.

not louder la but DETAILS.like u just mentioned before want the bullet sound through ur head...
if u want louder u can adjust the volume from ur receiver...

usually wider dynamic range would result in the soundtrack being louder than those low bit rate (low dynamic range) tracks, no?

Added on January 4, 2008, 4:00 pmif you can see the diff between 480p and 720p/1080p for video, I'm sure you can somehow get the diff between 448kpbs DD and 4.6Mbps TrueHD.. (if your equipment is decent enuf) if play back via mobile phone speakers, DTS-HD-MA also cannot help..
