According to them, the Cendol was first mentioned in the Kresnayana manuscript, which dates back to the 12th century Kediri Kingdom, in Java. In fact, the Javanese name for the Cendol is Dawet. Instead of crushed ice, the Dawet is served as a drink.

i eated before cendol made by idonesian maid

taste weird
like got put some ?spices inside

i didnt finiish the cendol, that says a lot... because usually i finish cendol.

Originated from penang as originally prepared by mamak, The shaved ice only available in cities those day. The word jendol is Java , but their cendul is lousy and not as good as us.
