1) so you just compromise this stupid kit over spare tire? toyota able to put 4 pieces of 17 inch performance tires yet couldn't even provide a damn spare tire hahahaha (save cost? otak mana?)
2) speechless
3) try compare the old and new engine spec , looks so cacat
*
let me school you a bit:-

1) the spare tire is to reduce weight (save cost partly) but mainly to save weight which is why the new Vios' acceleration speed has increase despite having a little bit less HP and torque;

3) how cacat? 1HP less and 2NM less torque? - elaborate a bit la bang.

everything in life is a compromise and you cannot have it all unless you have enough money to waste (which i believed you do not). you win some, you lose some.

err... looks are subjective and how large are you? i'm 5'11" and have no problem getting a nice driving position in the Vios but the rear though, cannot styled hair.

Your head sure hit the roof at the back seat. Small size car sell at yahudi price. Not worth the money

the Ativa is a rebadged Daihatsu Rocky bang - just because Perodua has it in their line up, doesn't make it theirs.

Those taking max year loans really can't afford it and should be concern about FC, Tyres and other maintenance.

Else, if can afford 100K vehicle, shouldn't be too concern about current fuel price and rumours

But in reality, it is available here and now.

Am driving a DNGA-B, Myvi engined, DCVT new car almost 30K less than the Vios.

Can't run away from public perception that UMW overpriced its unit.

The argument here isn't about how the new VIOS is better than b4 but it goes back to your big main title of the thread which is "VIOS vs CITY"

So in that sense, you are compromising all the shit just to get the VIOS over City? hahaha, i guess only super hardcord toyota fanboy would do that

for CITY >>
at least i can still get it at below 80k
at least i can still have the option to choose for spare tire
at least the rear seat aren't cacat

so everything in life isn't a compromise but it is a choice

for me,

toyota vios new one is OK. But most people will think you are getting a Myvi for the price of vios just for the brand toyota. The interior is definitely not 100k. Also do note that you are getting DNGA, not TNGA. We all know Europe gets the TNGA B platform for its GR Yaris, which will already be at a price of CBU mazda 3 when it reaches our shore (and people will get Mazda 3 hatch instead)

Honda City looks like a mini Beemer 3 series, the NVH, nobody really care la, I mean, its a freshgrad car for parents who think myvi is a tad too small or not enough future proof or want their children to have a better starter car. Its an all rounder

Mazda 2 is DOA for its price now esp the April 1st revision

Nissan Almera...needless to say la Tan Chong, Jatco and the underwear V shaped front

Indonesia version comes with full size spare wheels. UMWT didn't include spare to cut cost.

Both of this car is the bottom of the barrel economic car meant to get you from point A to B, using less than a sip of fuel. Don't expect anything and youd be surprised how economic it can get especially if you have owned a Proton previously.

Anyway, Honda for the engine, it's really good, or toyota generally for everything else. It didn't excel in anything but put together quite nicely, considering again you're buying something in the lowest part of the catalog.

Personally I have a HRV and I really like the engine, it's built right, smooth and powerful. My alphard engine cannot compare in term of smoothness. But everything else alphard wins la of course.
