Company counter offer me 25% when i wanted to resign, then 8 months down the line I jumped 14% increase.
Best case is to jump but don't do it too frequently, maybe every 3-4 years coz later HR will have a negative perception on you.

Lol nowadays even if you worked like 1 year in a company, recruiters will still approach you and ask you if you're looking for new job lel. I think 2-3 years between each job is fair game. Companies don't really think too much of it - after all if hiring manager is middle management they also cari makan

QUOTE(Roadwarrior1337 @ Mar 21 2023, 10:02 AM) Not possibles Increment and promotion is 2 diff thing U get increment 10 percent - so far I never heard any company in this current climate give this. Majority is 3 to 5 percent la from what I heard based on 5 to 6 company in tech As for promotion if u get promoted every year something wrong So best is to jump jobs every 1 or 2 years Back then i working in audit (Big 4), annually get promotion. Then when i cabut to commerce no more annual promotion but only get increment 5% annually. Kind of regret

QUOTE(xCM @ Mar 21 2023, 02:33 PM) I have 10% increment yearly and got ~20% for promotion. Sometime makes me think not worth to jump other company for 20-30% increment. Kind of regret They said don't stay in the comfort zone. Sometimes, if jump ship, I worry about what new problems may face, my boss & me, and others. Having a "stable" increment is nice, but still have to provide for family/commitment/debts.

Hi guys good morning, sorry to bump, I've been working for 5years already and always get 10% increment each year due to my grade A performance beating my other colleagues due to my broad skillset but i need to wear many hats. Thinking to jump ship and due to current company gives 2-3months annual bonus, what percentage that should i insisted on looking for new place?

But every year 10% worth to jump? U r being appreciated at where u r Internal promotion might get 20% to 30%

U r being appreciated at where u r Internal promotion might get 20% to 30% I think they can do this because my skillset vs job scope vs market rate actually lower.. my current skill set market rate is about 200% more than my current drawn salary

QUOTE(JimmyX @ Mar 21 2023, 09:54 AM) In Penang or anywhere Malaysia, for managerial post, etc. Is it possible to get salary increment 10% yearly at your current company and 30%-70% for jumpship/new company? 10% 30% 50% and above is possible if your next company is desperate for yr skillset...Also u hv to be very good at nego... A lot of candidates just jumped when the other party offer 30% more...

Some companies look at the amount also, if your salary is 1500, giving you 2000, i.e. 20% should not be a problem… if your salary is 15000, unlikely will give you 20%.
