the advertisement is self contradict, showing lexus and Merz Benz using this CC7 with 215/55R17, in fact it only cover until 16".

I have no idea why they can't make it larger size than 16", i want this in my Teana L33 17" wheel.

You have a good point. It's definitely misleading.

I think no 17" is due to product segmentation from continental.

The thread looks not that convincing? Not as sophisticated like other brands? Might not perform that well?

The magic is in the details, not from the pattern look smile.gif

I will do a deep dive explaining this later on in a video

Xm2+ is the best among them with excellent wet braking and wear. What is your main requirements?

For mine, 185 width, xm2+ only got 2 grooves. While other brands have 3 grooves. Does it matter?

The total void volume matters the most regardless of the number of grooves.

Based on test results XM2+ is really strong in aquaplaning smile.gif so it should not be an issue.

The 2 , 3 or 4 grooves is related to the scaling of the tire pattern module. Rest assured these are calculated to ensure the performance stays the same through our different tire sizes.

Based on what I've seen so far, seems like Continental doesn't do much to improve wet grip of the CC7.
All the launch articles claim "improved safety and handling", but then the rest of the article only talks about noise reduction and comfort.
The thread design still looks like it doesn't push away water when driving through a puddle.

Rather disappointing considering the CC6 was really popular (I liked it for it's quietness, and dry grip was alright) but the main complaint has always been poor wet grip.

Based on the data provided, CC7 increase 7% better in wet braking compared to CC6.

Based on my EU label table you can see CC6's wet braking label at C/D for different sizes.

Still waiting for CC7 though....

Yesterday, I switched from Bridgestone Ecopia ep150 to Continental CC7. 0923 is still new and costs MYR 185 (175/65/R14 082H). I changed all four tires. Continental is offering an MYR 50 TNG voucher if you replace four tires; if you replace two tires, you will receive an MYR 20 TNG voucher instead.

Although it has the Conti TCP app for warranty. laugh.gif

Yesterday, when the road was wet, I gave it a try. The brakes work effectively in rainy situations and are significantly less noisy than the EP150, at least so far. I could not test for aquaplaning in any water puddle because I've done it before while using the ep150 and going faster in drizzly circumstances.

Looking at the thread pattern, CC7 will have better wet handling compared to its predecessor, the CC6.

Overall, it should be an overall improvement in terms of wet handling, quiet and comfort.

Remember you all, this is a comfort tyre.. not performance

Interesting that this is only 13-16". That's most of the cars on the road (Myvi etc.) but too bad for C-segment and above car owners lol

Just changed from CC5 to CC7, feels the same in terms of comfort and noise. I don't drive aggressively, so can't tell the difference in handling or braking performance.
