Very disappointing despite the lead. I'd go ballistic if Lampard comes on. I think Bentley needs his game-time. Stop f***ing around, McClaren. Lescott was a good move but you only put him on because of an injury. Same way Richards got exposed. Can't you DO one on your own and not let injury force your hand. I demand Bentley!!!!!

Whole match was shit. Luck's on our side though. Just hope we get a win against Russia and McClaren has some sort of sickness that causes him to rest till September 2008 and Mourinho gets the England job and sticks one up Robinson's hairy arse

Anyone waiting for the Romania game? I'm hoping for Romania to do one over the Dutch. Scotland won, right? So happy for Fletcher (though not playing).

QUOTE(Zephyr_Mage @ Oct 14 2007, 12:03 AM) Disappointing. 3-0 against Estonia? And 3 lucky goals at that. I could understand not wanting to PUSH harder and risk anything (especially to the yellow cards and Owen) but the changes made were pathetic. Why the f*** not someone who hasn't played internationally? What would Lampard do? Gain a cap and that's it? Give it to someone who has something to prove.

Striker Fernando Torres will miss Spain's Euro 2008 qualifiers after suffering a small muscle tear in his right leg in training. And he is now a major doubt for next Saturday's Merseyside derby. Hope he doesn't play, for his health sake

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Oct 14 2007, 12:08 AM) well, guess after all macca does not have the balls to let the star sit on the bench for the entire game.... Knew that long ago.

YOU actually think that Macca has the balls to drop a star player in Rooney?

First of all, I still think we can play 4-4-2 against Russia. We blitz them in Wembley and we have enough quality to do it again in their home artificial turf. Secondly, I doubt Macca can play any other way apart from a boring conventional 4-4-2. Thirdly, we can go on and on on how well Lamps has done for Chelsea but fact is Barry has came in and since he and Gerrard has teamed up, we have scored 10 goals in three matches with three clean sheets? Fourthly, I'd go to say that Lampard isn't good enough to play on his own. His career only got going when he had Makalele and Essien to start cleaning his shit so he could bomb forward and Gerrard ain't going to do that.
For me, 4-4-2 with Lampard on the bench. No other way and I think Owen was placed in cotton to protect him from injuries and to protect himself from Sam

Latest news says that
Robinson LB - Shorey or Neville CB - Ferdinand - Terry (or Richards if Terry's unfit) RB - Young (if Richards' CB)
Midfield 3 - Gerrard-Barry-Lampard Front 3-Cole-Owen-Rooney
I think the defence's bollocks. I'd go with
Shorey-Ferdinand-Campbell-Richards (if Terry isn't fit)

so our fate is in their hands? Let's face it. We won't win Euro 2008. I am indifferent as long as Mourinho or something could take over. It has been long since we have had a decent manager in place.

Hoho. Imagine if England were to go out. We may have to tour Asia to compensate for the financial loss of not qualifying for Euro 2008. And imagine tomorrow's newspapers.

QUOTE(qspn @ Oct 18 2007, 12:45 AM) Tomorrow's headline McClown blame players for not being a heroes when he need them to be. There is a few minutes left in the game left. England look desperate when going forward and defending. I think they won't qualify if they lost this game. We can sing NA!!!! NANAAAA!!! McClown I just hope Rooney and Gerrard aren't made scapegoats. McClaren should take full responsibility. QUOTE(madmoz @ Oct 18 2007, 12:45 AM) back to our epl rivalry then huh kobe... until the 2010 WC qualifiers at least? Yeah. Even if we did qualify, we would continue our rivalry by late June anyway. Doubt we'll go far. Well, can Mourinho coach England? 9 years supporting England, more lows than highs. Heck two highs I remember were under Sven: away England win against Germany and Beckham's last minute free kick against Greece. Lows? Lost against France and Portugal and now this. Added on October 18, 2007, 12:51 amRef should be shot. McClaren should be shot. End of story. This post has been edited by kobe8byrant: Oct 18 2007, 12:51 AM

QUOTE(madmoz @ Oct 18 2007, 12:55 AM) Does McClaren resign during the post match conference and maintain some semblance of dignity, or will it be a tedious 'finish what i started' affair... btw Sven must be laughing his head off at the moment If Israel lose, at least have Jose get a first match to kickstart the Mourinholution or something.
