Yes, people sell or trade in fast/early usually there is "some thing" trigger them, either the car, owner or other reason.
I knew few business/rich owners and they do keep cars which is over 10 years if it is good, for them their mindset is if the new car keep sitting/going in/out of SC, doing a lot of warranty claims or fix what do you think it will be good after warranty ends? Most of them don't like the hassle, even they do have multiple cars on hand and they don't like to waste money or time on a particular car too much unless they really like it.
FYI, this group of people i knew mostly sworn never buy hybrid cars again..

Now they only go for pure EV or normal combustion engine. All mostly regretted and sold off most of their hybrids from BMW, Merc to Volvo. Only 1 hybrid being the exception is the Toyota/Lexus Hybrid system, seems that is the only 1 less issue and got more affordable aftermarket parts (halfcut) to fix nowadays.
