If got timber flooring, still need skirting to hide the expansion gaps at the corners. The same goes for marble and tiles.

Personally, I don't like skirtings be it marble, timber or PVC. Too fugly.

I rather use a edge cutter to trim the timber flooring nicely and straight and fill the edges with silicone. Gaps under 10mm evenly.

Unfortunately, many contractors don't have such tool to do the job. They mostly used traditional tools.

Can still do skirting, but better do just do a short/small one, like 1.5cm height, rather than the all 7-8 cm ones.

Anyone know contractor can help me with floor skirtings? My home doesn't have one and now it looks so dirty because of mopping. Most contractor i find doesnt do floor skirting only. They want take jobs changing floor + skirtings.

Install SPC flooring and ask them to install skirting

Crazy meh 7-8cm skirting.
Even 1.5 cm better don't do.
If you mean the edge profile that terminate between floor and wall is not skirting.

Think about the function of the skirting then you decide.
