Unless you don't skim door 2 door.
And if u avoid insurance, in between lost Amazon also won't garantee refund.
Within US still safest
Outside of US a bit risk, especially warranty

Amazon usually collects an ‘Import Fees Deposit’ from you if you order abroad.⁶ It’s an estimate of what it’ll cost to get the order into the country.

If it ends up costing less, you’ll be refunded, and if it costs more, you won’t be charged extra - Amazon covers the extra cost. If you do end up eligible for a refund, hold tight, because Amazon says it takes 60 days to come through.

they got charged it when u pay ald, how can skim icon_idea.gif

it depends actually, some other merchants like Newegg or others have special discounted price on festive seasons.

Just add on 20% on top of the tax to be safe.

Recently I bought GPU and it's taxed. Just pray kastam don't inspect your items.

PS: to those who said LZD cheaper just be my guest and buy who stopping u buy from locals brows.gif

kurogane if price cheaper like 40 to almost 50% just get it.

The only hassle is warranty. Some items have international warranty but it would take more time/efforts to RMA.

From my experience, non of my Amazon and other imported gadgets have problems so far (touch wood).
I also using buyandship services to import my stuff.

Nah not that cheap, its about 20-30% savings if i follow checkout price (incl shipping + tax deposit). But it is about RM 500 saved so I was considering whether to take the risk or not.

Might consider using buyandship to be safe too.

RM500 I think can consider.

But try make judgement if (touch wood) for RMA purposes + tax can save the RM500.

May I know what parts?

Basically CPU + Mobo, got bundle deal on Amazon right now. Mostly savings on the mobo part because similar type of mobo is like double the price here right now.

apply sirim usually on communication items like phone.

PC parts so far didn't kena from that.

Also sirim just send spec sheets and pay online jer. get the slip then past back to appointed agent to Kastam for release.

too expensive to return.

twice i kena....

1) R9-290 4GB used , ( 30% below local used market price )
- can bot, cannot play game..... RAM issue..

2) MG Gundam..... direct missing....

overall... i dont care about return.

last time i resell Used laptop from taboto to local market, RM1100 cost (shipping included), can easily resell @ RM1500~1600
sold about 30 units, none have problem. all Dell Latitude E7450

the good thing about taobao = Kastam already "kaodim"
not the official Taobao forwarder. 3rd party 1.

How much is the extra charges on top for buyandship like? Plan to buy like USD 700 of stuffs....
*
It is always based on the size of the package (dimensions) as well as the weight of the package. So I can't really give you any guidance on it.

The last time I spent about USD$1.5k on car parts from the US, the shipping cost for Buyandship was around RM400+

If based on 2022 Perintah Duti Kastam, still no tax for either import or export.

It will definitely pass kastam

You just have to pay tax.

Tax for pc is 5% but you will have to pay 10%, extra 5% goes to the courier who becomes your runner

When I buy stuff from amazon, usually shipped by ups.

Bought plenty of stuff on taobao, shopee, never got tax. They were single item value >RM500 . Bought computer case from Ncase worth RM900 one time ship from Taiwan also no tax.

Only time I got taxed was when I bought 4 copies of games total value >RM400. And the kastam was spot on too, because I did plan to sell some of those games.

sounds pretty reasonable actually, considering its car parts. PC parts are much lighter.

Lol so many misinformation.

Upon checking out, it'll list the total including a "import fees deposit" (if any).

After paying, any extra tax or duties during the shipping Amazon will cover. If less or none, they'll refund to your card.

Any problems or item missing you can return and it'll be covered by Amazon. I've even received my refund without needing to return an item before. Got my money back and kept the item. Probably cost them more to deal with the return.

(This applies to items fulfilled and shipped by Amazon only not third parties sellers on their site)

I just bought a cpu 2 months back during their sales. 0 tax.

Overall cheaper RM500+

Get those shipping and tax included

I bought many things Liao, if more than they collected they pay, if less they refund, I bought car stuffs normally kena tax like fuck but Amazon settle

OR I use forwarder buyandship, they have delivery duty paid option. They settle taxes for you as long you declare honestly, one price only.
