QUOTE(kurogane @ Dec 20 2022, 06:40 PM) hmm i see so definitely not worth the savings for the risk i guess. was buying about USD 700 of parts (local price is like RM 4K) so i thought can try try.... it depends actually, some other merchants like Newegg or others have special discounted price on festive seasons.Just add on 20% on top of the tax to be safe. Recently I bought GPU and it's taxed. Just pray kastam don't inspect your items. PS: to those who said LZD cheaper just be my guest and buy who stopping u buy from locals |

kurogane if price cheaper like 40 to almost 50% just get it.
The only hassle is warranty. Some items have international warranty but it would take more time/efforts to RMA. From my experience, non of my Amazon and other imported gadgets have problems so far (touch wood). I also using buyandship services to import my stuff. |

QUOTE(kurogane @ Dec 20 2022, 07:04 PM) Nah not that cheap, its about 20-30% savings if i follow checkout price (incl shipping + tax deposit). But it is about RM 500 saved so I was considering whether to take the risk or not. RM500 I think can consider.Might consider using buyandship to be safe too. But try make judgement if (touch wood) for RMA purposes + tax can save the RM500. May I know what parts? |

QUOTE(kurogane @ Dec 20 2022, 07:08 PM) Basically CPU + Mobo, got bundle deal on Amazon right now. Mostly savings on the mobo part because similar type of mobo is like double the price here right now. Can try kot, another way is to declare less than the actual items and pray kastam wouldn't bat an eye. |

QUOTE(sagethesausage @ Dec 20 2022, 07:27 PM) Headache later have to pay custom tax and apply sirim apply sirim usually on communication items like phone. Not to mention no local warranty. And Shipping dmg PC parts so far didn't kena from that. Also sirim just send spec sheets and pay online jer. get the slip then past back to appointed agent to Kastam for release. |
