Anyone faced this issue before? The money is kinda urgent and involves a large sum (RM20k++). Maybank only allow two options - DuitNow and GIRO. I selected DuitNow. Transfer completed but the receiving account shows no money. After calling Maybank they say there is system issue and my transaction has been tagged as GIRO.

I'm just wondering if this is acceptable? I initially thought I made a mistake. It's difficult to not "see" that large amount anywhere, especially since I expected the transfer to happen immediately. Anyone else face the same issue recently?

There is an option under M2U settings that you may need to change to allow large amounts for Duitnow transfer

Unless you have changed previously, your settings will be at "Default" amount

Not acceptable

File a complaint to BNM Tele link on Maybank and see whether they will do anything or not

Basically Maybank cheating customers out of 3 days interest

Maybank has lots of issues recently. People can't see their money for days, went into limbo. Just read the Fixed Deposit thread.

I actually kena the fixed deposit issue as well. For the largest bank in Malaysia, these are just woeful. Maybank has never been my primary bank so that's why in the past not many issues.

Source? I asked the CS agent if transaction above xxx amount will automatically become to GIRO or something, she said no such thing. The limit for funds transfer covers both duitnow and GIRO

I have definitely transferred up to 100k before using Duitnow, but need to do the settings change in M2U

Yes limit change should do the job

Unless there's some problem / change in bank policy that I'm not aware of

Still you have the right to file a complaint to BNM otherwise Maybank would start skimping on their responsibility which is why Telelink is there for a reason
