People... the modelling thread is turning into an anime thread... head over to the Anime section for 00 discussions please...

Quick review of the HG 1/144 Exia. The model looks good, and I suppose the upcoming 1/100 would be an excellent kit too. Fortunately the design does not attract me in any way so that I can save my money for the Unicorn. icon_rolleyes.gif

but 1 thing i see is the size of this unicorn really STRINK from all MG normal size becox of it expandsion when transfrom to destroyer mode tat make it same size as all orignal MG size
*
me no understan wat u toking... dry.gif

The Unicorn in its normal mode is 19+m which is around the same size as the normal UC units, with the exception of the humongous CCA suits which often exceeds 20m. The NT-D mode adds 2m to the Unicorn, hence reaching the CCA-era's normal suit height.

At least they didn't shrink it like the Turn-A which was supposed to be 20+m, instead the MG is only 18+cm... shakehead.gif

Ouuuu... NICE ONE UNICORN!!!! Love the simple colours of grey + white.. Excellent! MUST BUY..

I wonder whats d material used for the pink- red inside parts.. Are they going to use the metallic, or Transparent red.,.. or perhaps just normal red plastic ....doi..

don care how many model i left unbuild this is a must buy mecha..

THe reason i love it more is bcause this kit nvr been through any HG or other grades treatment.. Straight away get the MG treatment.. Lucky Unicorn..n lucky us.

From the preview pics the red internal skeleton should be transparent red, a bit like the 1/100 Destiny's stand. Here are the pics:

The yellow V-fin looks a bit awkward on a mecha with only white and grey with some subtle red frames being exposed. Maybe painting it to white or red would look nicer. That's probably what I'd do when I get my hands on it. I've a feeling that the stock would be all gone within the first day it reaches our shores.

More pics from the toy show:
Tieren's looking real good, but compared to the grunts Unicorn has to offer, 00 really loses out.

One of the most tacky suits out there - The Kyrios. The only thing I like about this suit is that, it made me love the sleek Zeta even more. whistling.gif

Chop off the legs and slap on some slimmer ones, mod the head a bit to get rid of the oversized moustache; and the Virtue would look superb.

There's just too many juicy pics to post... I'll just put the link down here. Looks like the 1/100 Exia is really exciting; having articulations which screams MG !! If that's the case, let's hope BANDAI kills the MG line for 00 and use the plastic for MG Victory + V2, MG X + DX, MG Sinanju, MG Geara/Jagd Dogas and Zulus... I'm dreaming I know whistling.gif

Head over to Pam's and drool all over the keyboard. This year's Christmas will be much more exciting than last year's.

since most us including me really like zeta ver2;
so i wonder if u guys would want a MG Kyrios from 00?
heh
*
NO.

Kyrios's transformation is comparatively simple compared to the sophisticated method of the Zeta. The other transformable suits of Gundam Z such as the Asshimar and Gabthley and even the Bound Doc have much interesting transformations.

The Kyrios' transformation is somewhat similar to Gundam Wing and Saviour. Rotate the waist, bend the legs, put the hands to the side, and cover the head with a big shield/cover and voila. To me that's really uncreative. sad.gif

As I always say, there are many other suits more deserving of MG treatment, such as V, V2, grunts from CCA, Justice, X, DX, even Impulse. sweat.gif And of course, it would be magical if Bandai manages to come up with an MG Aegis complete with Sotong mode. They have succeeded in making the Unicorn transform, let's see whether they are up to the challenge of making an Aegis.

Destiny MG quick review...

For the clothes hanger stand... well... see whether you understand this or not... I don't have the picture instructions in my HD so I drew them out in a crude way... The ABC are the 3 points of the triangle that forms the base of the stand... oh yeah, the crotch holder should be bent the other way around towards line AB, not towards point C... small mistake in the drawing... paiseh sweat.gif

sigh...as i wished last time, BANDAI ceased all MGs production!!! Produce more PGs in the price of MGs!!!!! rclxm9.gif

lol.....it'll nvr come true in near future...but who knows...  laugh.gif
*
No way. MGs are still the "best" product from Bandai in terms of value for money. PGs are simply too large and complicated in design and hence they will never sell it at MG prices. Then again, it would require too much resources and investments to make a variation of PGs such as those offered in the MG line. Even the MG line suffers from the lack of variety compared to the 1/144s.

For me I'm still pretty much in support of MG. The relatively affordable price + internal skeleton + great articulation and detail makes the MG a much better choice than the usual 1/100. That though, I must say I've only gotten one MG at the moment and the rest are 1/100s sad.gif

The Union Flag is really UGH... Cachexic. doh.gif And what's with the giant palms? The only thing I like about is the rear boosters that can be folded downwards. Nothing fancy I know, but at least it can fold the wings into a compact configuration rather than letting the wings protrude outwards when not being used.

Anyway... here's some COOL models sweat.gif

My guess for next year's MG include
(1) a new (maybe more) variations for Zaku II, especially the High Mobility Type
(2) Musha Gundam
(3) Gundam G3 using Gundam OYW's frame
(4) like you said, GM Ver. 2.0 (although there's a resin kit to convert Gundam OYW to GM from B-Club)
(5) another Ver. 2.0. model, maybe ZZ?
(6) Some 'leftovers' ^^; from CCA, maybe Geara Doga or Jadg Doga
(7) Shinage from Gundam Unicorn! Please Bandai, release that please~  notworthy.gif
(8) Exia maybe? at the end of next year

Just my prediction  smile.gif

QUOTE(jim18992 @ Nov 6 2007, 08:07 PM)
I hope for a MG 1/100 GM SNiper II and MG 1/100 Gelgoog J the most, this two OYW MS just look so cool and powerful
*
Haha... everyone's speculating next year's MG since we all know what's going to come out this year.

Knowing BANDAI's trend, we'll probably be seeing more variation of existing suits esp the newer ver2.0s. Zaku wise... possibly Johnny Ridden Custom? Gelgoog ver2.0... hm... maybe Cima or Gato custom.

GMs might get ver2.0 treatment esp with the OYW Frame, and this might mean Hazels might be MG-fied too.

Musha... WOW. Loads of armor, loads of weapons...

Left over kits such as CCA - Dogas might not necessarily get MG treatment since they are just grunts. Same case with Jegans. Then again, when Zeta movies came out, even the lowly Nemo had an MG. Unicorn is coming out this year, so we might just see Sinanju but I reckon it'll be quite a long time, probably Dec 08?

That leaves V without any MGs... When is my Victory and V2 coming out eh Bandai?

AU wise... GX series is the forgotten child, even Turn A got an MG. CE is mostly done and dusted, if they ever come out with more MGs it'll probably be Justice or IJ. IJ more likely I suppose since BANDAI loves to milk the CE fanboys by releasing 2 versions of each. Pray that it's not another Strike variant.

That leaves the newcomer 00... MG Exia is SURE to come out, possibly by next summer. The other 3 suits might never get MG though since it's not really the main suits.

Seriously.

We need a MG Sinanju. Preferably with NTD mode... yellow frame for the red baddie perhaps?

I want to pre-order now rclxm9.gif

1/100 Exia. Looking good, but with MG Unicorn up there it just pales in comparison. Esp the black orb parts at the sides of the head and the forearms which uses stickers unlike the 1/144's plastic parts.

The main page shows the progress of the MG Destiny... the skeleton is real sweet.

erh_teo: you can choose not to put those stickers hehe... but personally I think it looks nice.

A plain looking design is better than the radical ones in 00, or the CE designs which has larger and larger backpacks hehe...

Well all the preorders are pretty much gone... and those selling in shops would surely be ultra expensive the moment it gets released... so yeah maybe getting it one month later would be a wiser choice.

^ Yup... judging from the clear red parts that are shown in the runner, it's only the exposed parts that are moulded in transparent red. The joints of the elbow, ankles, and shoulders shows the underlying grey/black colour of the skeleton.

http://blog.goo.ne.jp/ossan-obahan1-2
WHOA... if the 1/100 Exia can have such good articulations, what would an MG Exia offer? Maybe just scrap that and use the plastic to make other MGs tongue.gif

for dalong..99 consider low for a new MGs...cause all new MGs after zaku v2 all got more than 100 marks
*
Well that's because the gimmicks in Destiny have been already implemented into the MG SF, eg bling bling joints, extra effect parts etc. Then again, anyone who can read Korean can try to translate the comments dalong has given the destiny and see the actual reason for the points.

The ver2.0 Zakus had such great improvements over the old ones, and was probably the first MGs that can do the squatting pose without the armour getting in the way. And of course, it's a Zaku !!! The most welcomed mecha ever, probably even more than the RX78. tongue.gif

QUOTE(ShinAsakura @ Nov 9 2007, 09:39 PM)
yup yup. who can "foresee" wat marks tat unicorn can get?  brows.gif

If the articulation is not affected by the movable armour, I'd say at least 99.

And check this out... what variant of Tallgeese is this? Tallgeese with Geese/Bird mode? WOW. Too bad the quality of the SD is quite bad.
