Hi all, Has anyone received an absurd roaming bill from Maxis after having already subscribed for the RM99 unlimited roaming plan?

I have reached out to Maxis over 5 times and their response has been the generic 'the charges are valid'. One of them even shared the same sentiment with me over the phone 'Wow, I've never seen this before'.

I went on a cruise tour with 30 other fellow Malaysians and no other people were charged beyond the RM99 we paid for.

Does anyone know of any journalists who are willing to cover this story? I have the confirmation SMS after subscribing to the plan and the bill I could share. I feel that any one of us could be a victim of these unscrupulous practices by mobile carriers and I want others to be aware of this too.

Thanks!

Yeah this just sounds like voicemail charge, even if you phone connected to pinoy network and put to airplane, maxis auto assume you are there until your phone connects back to local maxis network.

just disable voicemail

or switch to umobile lmao

send screenshot of the bill please,

If 99 didn't go through, you would have got the normal rm38 a day

Were your roaming for 84 days?

Sounds really weird

3200 sounds like went to country not included in rm99 list for example your cruise ships own cellular network and roam with pay per use.

Please show us the bill

He took a cruise. Data on cruise not covered in the 99 obviously.

Satellite data connection so it was rm100/mb

The op used 30mb until reached credit limit of 3K
