A lot of the stores have been recommending alpha fan which seems highly popular recently..

As they had the sizes we wanted, we took the plunge and decided to go with them as they offered 5-10years warranty..

However, i must say their service leaves much to be desired.. after contacting them.. it really takes their maximum 7 working days to get back to us..

And then.. their service team only comes to Penang Island twice a week.. so it took over 2 weeks just to service

Recently we also needed to service KDK fans and they came within a week..

So, really KDK is the bestest if you ok with 1 yr warranty

Previously bought alpha 3 units "Cosa" model, 3 units also facing the same problem using 1 year already spoil. Get KDK instead

Currently using REZO. have over 10 of them and 1 had mb issue. aftersales was prompt in repairing it. and able to claim warranty.

have used about 7 alpha previously, has 1 motor spoil only after 10 years. however they all had lights and all lights spoiled in 2-3yrs ish.

i think most brands are OK just except DEKA.

My house got 4 Alpha Fan, using since 2011.
2 still working and 2 already rosak and replaced by Panasonic.

I have 3 Alpha and 1 Revo in my house.

I found that the Revo is a little bit noisier.

But yeah, Alpha is the cheaper alternative compared to KDK / Panasonic.

Oh not to mention, their support is good too! Last time i bought online and install on my own, turns out i dont know how to place the balancers properly. Reported to them, they set appointment, boom! They help me fix it for free.

fan servicing? may i know what kind of service as i never heard fan got service before.

Alpha is cheap China stuff. Mine came with non-working LED lights. Ended up desoldering the broken ones and resoldering them with brighter COBs.

My alpha ceiling fan last time blades broken while it was spinning.

this is awful , it might hurt people underneath it

Rezo fans, customer service and technicians are horrible.Dont buy if you don't want headache.

Agree Panasonic is an established brand.Dont buy Rezo.it is the worst product, customer service and technicians.

Alpha Cosa is the cheao version, bought 4 and 1 of them fail after 3 months usage only.

How about Deka? Planning to buy fan for my house. Which brand should I go for? I heard KDK not really good too?

My Alpha fan zhun zhun 3 years then got issue...

Deka most bad reviews... All brands also got negative review... But if u 'heard' KDK no good, you can consider dont use fan ady

its not uncommon for old reliable brands to have issues nowadays as well

electronics are no longer made to last like many years ago

today 2nd Alpha cosa fan fail for unknown reason...after they fixed the 1st one...both also only 3 months usage

update: 1 of my alpha fan rosak already.. press got sound come out but fan cannot spin.

warranty of 5-10years is NOT free-of-charge.. after 1st year will cost RM60 for them to even show face.. better stick to KDK since both also 1 year foc warranty..

KDK last you 10-15 years easily janji don’t use at full speed all the time (bearing early failure). Low to mid ok

KDK not good for salesman commission. Never buy DIKU fans

Heard from house owner group also don't recommend this brand a lot of issues.
I wish to get KDK. But KDK dun have smaller size. KDK baby fan too busy.
Seen most people using Alpha now. But cannot last longer as KDK/Panasonic.

update: RM60 to show face (service charge), total damage rm150 to replace sensor. Summore their timing sucks.. weekend not available, weekdays only certain days available depending on where you stay.

if rosak another time, might as well buy a new fan already. nonit to take leave just to have them come service.. Should be going with KDK.

just under 2 years.

What model Alpha? I just gotten CX10 haven’t install to replace Deka. 2 units Deka come out smoke.. lol

My own house got Deka but seldom use. Maybe once every 3 months so they are still fine.

oh ya, read their warranty very carefully... their claimed warranty period is only limited to the motor other things are all 1 year, or maybe 2 years.. and you also need to pay show face fee for their technician to come.. so 10 year warranty is just marketing gimmick.. practically sama dengan other brand 1 year warranty

Personally I do not have good experience with this brand.

Regulator Ceiling Fan, that's so bullet proof also spoiled on a house I rented (totally motor jammed)

AC Pump water heater, also rosak in less than 2 years

I'm using an Alpha fan with LED which is now 16 years old for my living hall, daily ON at least 12 hours, still running perfectly with no noise at all, even the remote control is still working fine with physically damaged due to drop.

I have quite a few Deka fans all not reliable, some dead in few years, most common problem is the fan speed slow down due to capacitor problem. This is easy to fix, just buy the capacity and replace it, the fan speed will be back to normal. Remote control failure is also very common for Deka.

I'm thinking of buying the Alpha cosa CX10, it is quite cheap, not sure how long it can last.

Cosa CX8, 1 year already ngong ngong sound while spinning and cannot full speed anymore.

just want to share my exp on alpha cosa, cannot spin suddenly after on for a long period non stop, end up spray wd-40 on top of axle where the motor spin (top and bottom, bottom need to open the cover), guess what, fan revived.

Why not spray lithium greese? WD40 is actually a degreaser. If these get into the bearing, then you'll have grinding sound after a couple of days.
