as said a thousand times in the thread loving a pilot will always ends up in tragedy one way or the other....

it's because calling it gundam makes the fanboy and fangirls wanna buy them....

thats why never underestimate a Zaku in the battlefield....
a fully optimized zaku can take down gundam no problem with elite pilot, and for gundam is just a freaking name that given to a mobile suit for a certain reason(too hungry to elaborate on that)
having a mecha called "gundam" doesnt give a pilot license to uber powerful plot accuracy/armor ms that can pwn everyone except another "gundam"

hizack always been in my fav list of all gundam mecha
in fact even more than zaku 2....
but still of all my most preferred monoeye, it's still marasai that have poisoned me most...

but i can see why it happens though....
the SEED franchise focused too much on it's gundam/astray unit(so called good guys ) rather than the monnoeye unit....
maybe it needs a spin off OVA like 0083 to focus more on grunt unit can kick ass big time rather than just being a canon fodder that stands and get shot down...

he has more potential to be shin rather than kira considered the background....but i still think he becoming anything that involved with military is kindda far fetched, his role and several others around him serve as a medium to show how CB actions,whether it is for the more beautiful and peaceful world or the other way around, affects the innocent and neutral bystanders and civilian.

somme of you stated on whats the point of it?shouldn't they just replace them with some random civilian?
the reason is simply to make you feel attached to this character so that you will understand more about their viewpoint and their suffering....
will you feel sorry if a random civilian that appeared like 3 second screen time got killed by the gundam???

even if saji did become much more of a major role in this war, he'll probly become much like relena in wing.....venture into politics rather than the battlefield..... but that seems far fetched also.... ....
