I see a lot of Subaru on the road these days.

dunno about 2022 version, but previously, gearbox is sluggish.
a lot of people said, if wanna buy XV, get the manual variant.
but of coz, no manual variant here in m'sia.

it's a subaru, so its AWD is easily best in the class.
but boxer engine, quite expensive to maintain.

Yeah, on the older version I drove (around 2018 or 2019 model year) at certain speeds while slowing down the CVT has this weird effect. Best way I can describe it is that you feel your tyres suddenly become egg or oval shaped. A bit disconcerting at first, but you get used to it.

I always liked the look of the XV. A simple look, doesn’t try too hard. But the small issues and lack of official service center near my place turned me off.

but, bcoz of the flat nature, & the way it's mounted, it's very hidden which makes it hard for accessibility.
hence any sort of service, required specialist, takes longer time, & cost more.
