1250 comes with corded tak? one of the main reasons i stick to 1110 besides being easy to find, is for the corded versions...n they r practically everywhere... even easier to find than non corded.

I was in your situation before, but I stopped, wet some tissue, and plugged my ears.

I know ppl who have tinnitus, some since childhood. When they using ANC headphones they can then hear the rings, so they cannot stand it. I suggest to them use white/pink/brown noise to drown it.

Years n years of blasting heavy metal on headphones.

Was also blasting heavy metal throughout the entire trip hahahaha

not really, for heroes who preach no need for ear plugs, makes absolutely no difference for them. they are fine. wind noise not that great also.
I believe them, and they are not lying. Because they have already lost their hearing... ear plugs won't help you get it back magically.

it's like a blind man telling you don't need sunglasses.

either they ride pretty slowly, or their hearing is gone

Ok, just to add my experience with earplugs

Mack: purple or pink (small sized)
Type: slow expanding foam
NRR: 30~31 dB

When wear, is not comfortable especially first time. It needs to go in deep, and the outer edge of the earplug just barely showing. Otherwise, the tip will rub against the helmet, and make booming noise inside the ear canal. Or worse, create pressure fluctuations and causing ear canal pain and headache.

My preference is to leave some earwax in, means don't clean it totally. If ear canal too clean, when extract the earplugs at the end of the day, ear canal will be sore. Happened to me before, sore ear canal for a few days.

If you are going on first ride soon, and never use earplugs before, I would suggest to wear it at least a week before the actual day, walk around at home and get used to it first. Can start shallow first, then slowly ease in. Ear canal can get irritated and it's not easy to treat if inflammation happens there. ENT is a tricky subject.

With earplugs on, roughly all the noise and sound cut by 60%. So, some soft noise will not be heard at all.

For me, I am able to focus better on riding. Speed is less of an issue without the noise, and I can comfortably ride with the pack.

Also, I prefer a quiet bike. A noisy bike feels faster when it's actually slow just noisy.

Haha, not generalizing. Maybe I must add, only applies to my own bike.

Funny thing is, after putting back a stock exhaust for my friend's bike, he noticed the bike became more responsive than a full system.

The longer your exhaust track, the better the scavenging from increased exhaust velocity. Better torque and fuel economy. I really don't get the shorty mufflers.

that's true in some cases

my friend switch from big diameter full system to the puny stock header with cat.

Just wear long sleeve "cool" fabric type .... Helps you get the jacket off without sticking, and ventilates/dry very quickly.

On really hot days, I just soak the whole shirt. Wear it. Feels Like air con. Dries up in 30mins...even under my mesh jacket.
*
I second this.

Quite cheap for original Alpinestars considering it comes with elbow and shoulder armor.

Edit: and it looks less like a jacket and more like a base layer.
Any examples of the quick dry mesh jacket?

My Kushitani mesh is kinda sticky when wet. A bit hard to remove and wear again. Especially when the mesh rolls up against my skin when removing. Don’t know how to explain.
*
I know what you mean when jacket sleeves stick to the skin and harder to pull over the arms. Taking them off feels like a huge relieve also.

If I may recommend, a good set of jacket innerlayer is a must, look for special material Dryarn but these tend to be pricier. Cheaper options are Uniqlo Airism non-cotton stuff, preferebly Nylon and Spandex only. Polyester is not as comfortable IMO. Example items E457783, E457781, E454314. Nike Dri FIT also ok. Or, just use those nylon arm sleeves with a thumb hook also quite good. Just anything that goes between your skin and the mesh jacket.

I once saw Decathlon inner/base layer for RM19, but it's rated for cold temperature. Sounds odd, and I skipped it because if it's to keep warm, I'd rather not use it.
Example, the Van Skipps cycling baselayer, is 100% polyester.

Here also so quiet, lai I come revive it laugh.gif

My previous Furygan gloves are short at the thumbs so not suitable for me, researched around and bought the cheapest CE KP2 rated gloves in the market, the LS2 Swift. Bought from Motardinn for only rm380 including shipping but now I see that model is being sold on shopee by Ls2 Vietnam for around rm400 but no XXL size so if they have your size, just buy it from there.

Read reviews and most suggest to go up one size as I usually wear an XL but now I feel I should had just bought an XL as the glove feels slightly too big as there is extra glove at all my fingers including thumbs. But I guess too big is better than being too small, the downsides of buying clothing online. Now sometimes I accidentally hit the horn button when engaging the signals.

Overall the build quality is superb, somehow the leather on this feels stretchable and really soft, the wrist strap can undo completely so it is super easy to wear and remove. The inside liner is weirdly velvety and soft, really comfortable. At the knuckles and wrist area protection the leather is double layer. The material of the gloves overall feels really thick and padded some what, almost but not quite like a winter glove thus making it feel somewhat bulky but still comfortable. Kp2 rating is really no joke.

nice gloves. the palm sliders remind me of stingray leather on Held gloves. high quality gloves are now affordable by these disruptive brands. This LS2 used to make MHR helmets, and those were so much cheaper than LS2 now.

cow leather is best, goatskin on the palm is best, just wondering what 'superfabric' is used. does it look like kevlar or aramid? what color is it? like pale yellow? what I know kevlar/aramid/keprotech are pale yellow that lines the interior of gloves

Thanks! After using it for some time, overall these are seriously nice gloves. Holds up very well, build quality is seriously good and no doubt about the safety of the gloves since they managed to get CE KP2 rated afterall.

I think the superfabric is used only at certain part at the palm area and is black. Interior of the gloves looks like all black as well.
*
OK, I re-read the gloves description, and that the palm and finger sliders are the superfabric. Nice!

I just bought a bike and now i need to gear up myself.
Trying to buy all the needed gear is expensive. So better ask to make my money worth.

Helmet - KYT TT
Is there any better contender for this price point?

Is BENKIA is a decent brand?

Might buy from Serdang Motorcycle.

Any suggestion is welcome.

welcome

helmet - fit is most important, make sure to test them up to half an hour to make sure it doesn't give you headache due to pressure points, and you like how it feels inside

noise control is important, learn to use earplugs - there is not fix for tinnitus

in terms of importance:
helmet + earplugs + gloves + boots
lower body protection (pants, knee shin hip protection)
jacket (shoulder, elbow, back)

HJC is forced to move away from the classic shell that's been around since AC-12 to go to C10, so with that, a new shell and new visor...

So I just had an accident this morning because of my own stupidity..
Trying to 'layan corner' at an unfamiliar road, ended up overshooting and slide into the grass sweat.gif

Looks like that corner has claimed a plenty of victim..

Thank God that all I had was minor bruises and bike was working fine even with small dent here and there.
A lot of passerby was offering help too.. I'm really moved by that gesture tbh
Still manage to ride it back home in 1 hour.

Reminder to all (and myself) to never EVER forget your gear.. and ride safely. I would've ended up losing some of my skins if not for these protection.
Some scratches and dent on the bike and helmet

Minor injury on my right hand and right hip

Jacket and pants aftermath. Surprisingly gloves are fine
You know that I said Benkia padding feels insufficient? I take that back it did help me  laugh.gif

yeah, looks much better

I dunno how you ride, just a speculative comment, maybe can pay attention to body position a little bit, just the buttcheek a little off the saddle may help a bit

can I see the front tyre wear and rear tyre wear?
I'm looking for 'chicken strip' to see how much lean angle you're using

no, it's not for bragging rights

the GT2 I asked before is made in Europe
the older GT is made in China, same as many previous Rosso models

Check tyre pressure as well.

I know one rider never check tyre air pressure for 4 months until he sees the tyre on low pressure ( flatten), then only he will check.

thanks

I put front 32 and rear is more flexible, between 22~34
