QUOTE(WH4CockcooBird @ Oct 6 2024, 09:09 PM) Guys, what to look out for when buying riding pants? the jacket, was it fake branded?Tight fit? For jacket, the first one I got was too loose. It's flapping at speed and it hurts. for me riding pants should be just slightly loose, because the protection must stay in place then, it should have kevlar lining inside... https://www.motocap.com.au/products/pants?f...der_ratings%3A1 |

QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Oct 25 2024, 03:43 PM) The button on my helmet broke, wondering if its still safe to use. i think the button is just to hold the belt in place without it flapping around. it's the DD ring button? I think it's fineafter strapping it down with the rings without using the button. the belt feels tight when i gave it a hard tug and it didnt budge |

QUOTE(harryleesbr @ Nov 13 2024, 01:30 PM) Hi all, perforated leather is bestOn the lookout for some decent adventure touring pants with hip and knee protector. Need to cover the boots as well. Need not to be waterproof but a bonus if it is. Been checking out Revit, KLIM, Alpinestar etc. but without much success as there are very little reviews especially for hot humid APAC countries. Anyone has any suggestions? Thanks, harryleesbr liked this post

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Nov 13 2024, 03:16 PM) Leather will be hot. But with the correct type of leather will provide very good slide protection. you got try leather? Most of us will go with fabric and mesh. But mesh and fabric has the slide resistance of tissue paper, so it comes down to armour to provide the additional slide protection. If possible get compatible pants with your jacket so you can zip them together to prevent your jacket from riding up your back in a slide. Good protection wear will have additional reinforcements at sliding areas, stronger material and double or triple stitching so seams to break in the slide. Touring pants will be wider at the legs to enable you to wear them over your boots. |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Nov 13 2024, 04:36 PM) perforated leather?just clarifying, I feel perf leather is cooler than fabric or those technical material QUOTE(harryleesbr @ Nov 13 2024, 07:43 PM) two piece leather suits with perforation, RS Taichi, Alpinestars, Dainese, RST, Rev'it should haveSPRS also take custom leather suits some ppl make custom leather suits from local shops (my personal least preferrred) one piece leather are more 'race' so you walk hunchback which can be uncomfortable QUOTE(harryleesbr @ Nov 13 2024, 07:46 PM) Thanks. My jacket brand does not carry any attachment to any pants. I have a look at Komine and Taichi. there are different levels of joiningAny models in specific? - full waist join - the zipper joins top and bottom around the waist: 2 piece leather suits or adventure suits - back waist join - about 10 inches worth, usually comes with jacket and you can sew the other half of the zipper to riding pants » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « - belt loop from the jacket to the pants belt loop - this one is basic street jacket, just a rope at the lower back of the jacket to connect to pants belt loop » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « every brand names have their own zippers, but different brands compatibility is very low, for example Alpinestars won't match Dainese Good thing is, you can have a different jacket to match a smaller pants, try them at your nearest store This post has been edited by alexei: Nov 13 2024, 08:17 PM harryleesbr liked this post

Shoei PFS has head measurement, and suggests model for the head, with expected custom fitting if required
HJC has PFS nowadays, wait for events Arai has peelable cheekpads... lol modular helmets I think more spacious at the chin area, for some lah, maybe that's why it doesn't feel as secure as normal full face, also the different weight distribution minizian what is 'glasses temple'? |
