Found the Held Cattleman boots to be had for RM275 with coupons on Shoppee.

Thick double-stitched cowhide upper, just begging to be mink-oiled. Zipped side (something I look for in all my lace-up Derby dress boots & bike boots). The usual toe, heel and ankle protection although not as heavily protected as racing & off-road boots, but that's fine as they retain the comfort & mobility I absolutely need to wear them all day at the office and when touring.

At this price, I couldn't say no.

However the welt is not sewn - this is the weakest area in all leather shoes coz while the animal leather is bomb-proof, the soles and their glue tend to somehow perish all on their own in our weather. Glued soles tend to detach after 2 years, dunno why. My fave Blundstones just went out this way and the soles also started to crumble apart... can't be saved, what a fucking pity...

Yeah... RM275 so I bought a pair to replace my Blundstones that self-destructed after 2+ years. They list for RM299 currently but even that's still bloody cheap for a sturdy pair of genuine leather boots. So if anybody's in the market for a more traditional Derby style of motorcycle boots, maybe it's something worth taking a look at.

OK la, if got unevenness should mean the leather is real leather. If too perfect then not really real leather kot 🤣

Saw the ad says it is CE rated. Do you see the ce label in the shoe and what are the 4 numbers below the ce label?

It is also water resistant and rates a '2' in almost all the CE rating except abrasion resistance which is good enough for me as I'm going to be using this for my daily commute mostly and occasional rides. Only thing is I need to get used to using a high cut shoe, the sole is pretty thick and the shoe itself is quite stiff since its still new, so shifting gear really needs some effort for now. Price is supposed to be around 1k, he had not finalised the price yet but he gave me a very good price being the first customer for these shoes.

Bloody hell that's damn good weyh. And the first '1' actually means it's technically still a low cut boot. If its a high cut boot then perfect score liao.

Cheap & decent. For the price, they're better than my Stylmartin Jack boots (CE: 1122) which cost me RM765.

Anyone have experience with these rain suits? They last well? Coz they ain that cheap either

Also besides benkia in serdang motor....any other places to find decent, cheap womens riding jackets?

I bought the benkia one for my partner, not sure why the shop didn't recommend us the komine for women.

Her 700 CLX died again Thursday night while riding home with me after dinner in Ara Damansara. 3rd lane in fast-moving traffic on the NKVE at 9pm, ignition cut out and lost power all of a sudden while cruising at highway speeds. Power was on but it refused to start. It was a harrowing experience coz she didn't not have the power to safely cut across 3 lanes of traffic into the emergency lane and the bike came to a stop in the middle of the friggin highway. Fortunately, the large truck behind her managed to stop in time and block the traffic for us to push the bike to the side of the highway. Called a tow truck and dumped the motherfucker at Mforce immediately afterward.

She was supposed to ride it to Satun with me next week. Looks like she'll have to make the trip on the back of my bike as a passenger.

Enough is enough, that bike is DONE. We'll cut our losses and flog it off immediately when it comes out of Mforce. Damn near killed both of us that nite.

Just bought this from Hodaka motoworld. 400rm promo price ...in the size I want.

Yep. It's quite lightweight and ventilated....good for daily use....although the included armour is pretty crap. It's good as long and you have better armour at hand.

My only complaint is that it doesn't have belt loops and zipper to zip up to pants.
