https://support.airasia.com/s/article/How-e...?language=en_GBIt's written black and white that international flights check-in counters close 1 hour before departure. If they let anyone check-in after that, that's their courtesy and good will. But if they deny you, there's nothing you can do.
If you know you are in a long queue and can't make it, you should ask the staff there to assist you immediately.
