Not provisioned by Google in its software for Digi. No option to turn on or off like VoLTE.

Cant you guys just call up your telco and force them to enable VoLTE?

Ater that use engineering mode to enable the VoLTE/VoWifi. (Google how to by yourselves)

Personally I've done this just recently on my Oneplus 7 Pro which on paper does not support VoLTE/Wifi & telco doesnt recognize my device is capable of. My device, no root is needed. Not sure about Pixel.

A rootless option to enable VoLTE seems to be available
https://github.com/kyujin-cho/pixel-volte-p...in/README.en.md

crazy_rose if you're familiar with how to play with adb, can give this a go

Tried this with Maxis, toggle for VoWifi is enabled, but no calls (receiving or outgoing) can be made at all.

VoLTE is supported with Maxis but not VoWIFI yet. However, once you get your P7, you may need to call up Maxis to provision VoLTE for you.

Since it's already activated, you'll probably get it out of the box. However, I'm not sure if the provisioning is device dependant. Anyway, just try it out and if it's not working for your P7, just give Maxis a call.

Question, what do you guys do if you need to claim warranty or need to repair the phone (e.g. cracked screen)? Since there is no official presence here, do you have to send abroad to fix, like SG?

If you bought it from a local shop they will send it back to overseas for repair with charges.

If your phone has official warranty i guess the nearest we can do claims will be at singapore.

There may be some unofficial repair shops out there but i would avoid them like a plague unless you are really desperate

So first there is no out of the box support for 5G and VoLTE due to the phones not being configured with local Telco. Then warranty and repair seems to be an additional hassle where it's better to hope nothing goes wrong.

Damn... is Google ever going to officially bring Pixel here to Malaysia, there seems to be a substantial (I think?) customer base and Singapore next door already is an official location.
