U got ask original Honda 1pcs how much before asking if the price reasonable..

Didn't go to honda authorised sc, just asking whether anyone changed to oem driveshaft before and whether the price reasonable for oem parts ...

720 for both side is reasonable, last time my vios cost around rm900 for both side, oem as well, i think the workshop take their cut as well

using oem is actually fine for driveshaft, no need to go for ori, in fact i'm using driveshaft for my car that i bought online from china

my car is mazda 3 2014, the shorter left shaft is around rm450, the longer right shaft is around rm550-600, both are oem price, your car shaft length is shorter so it should be slightly cheaper, but of course different brand and workshop will vary slightly in price

you can also choose to change only the side that is worn out, it is not necessary to change both

or you can also choose to repair it, the cost of repair may or may not be worth it though since the reliability depends a lot on the workmanship and quality of parts used

Honda parts now can be either made in Malaysia, Thailand or China. The China ones also has a variety of grades. So this is where the price difference comes from. If you can be sure it is made in Malaysia, it is the better option. The rest are less reliable. So, unless you know someone that doesn't cheat you, it's a hit or miss.

From my understanding, Thailand made is more better than Malaysia or China..
The best is still from Japan, but when you heard the price will run away.

not sure, because i do my oil change and couple other things together, but i think my workshop charge me less than 100 for that

the parts i get from china is printed with made in japan, and ATF filter from china has made in USA molded on its plastic casing, the driveshaft i get has made in japan etched on the steel rod even though i pay the price for china oem

the grade you mean is actually the different brand and hence the different pricing, so far i only see either oem or japan import, except for brake pad and spark plug, and the price difference if depends on the seller end how much difference they wanna price it

No man, despite that mindset in general, our manufacturing is not that bad. This comes from my mechanic friend that services and fix my HRV.

The only thing i heard from my mechanic local parts are cheap, but quality so-so. Different mechanic got different view..

Never heard of lucas driveshaft. Checking the website seems super simple.. probably just a company sourcing parts and rebranding to lucas.

Gsp is what i see mechanic usually suggest. If jap car usually they suggest taking original halfcut driveshaft.

Sadly not all half-cut is suitable as our Asean Honda got different variant.
This is why my mechanic hates it and most people direct convert full half-cut from Japan with more better engine spec.

I thought those claimed to be honda Thailand only oem from Japan? Not exactly from honda Thailand? Came across those honda Japan, seller only replied oem Japan, not ori honda Japan...

Coz real honda Japan stuff price expensive, so most seller will sell oem or 2nd grade stuff.
If you insits and go to official honda spare part shop they can quote for you.

You are better off just replacing the entire lower arm. Make sure you replace original Honda lower arm as they tend to last longer.

Reason why I don't replace lower bushing only is because the ball joint cannot be replaced. It is together with the lower arm assembly.

Dont recommend. Just get one set and call it a day. If got money go for ORI instead less pening kepala.

Unless your lower arm cost 1k+ per side then changing bush might be ok.

Replacing bush has its draws... If not aligned, it might affect other parts and also the quality of the bush.

As for me for peace of mind, change honda genuine lower arm, of course for both side.. It will last for long time

Try not to get OEM/fake lower arms if needed also go for original , because only original lower arm within the camber spec specifications , those fake lower arm need to use camber nut after changing if your car are without camber adjustment by stock is not worth the hassle annoying camber nut joke shit, check if lower arm any physical damage/crack if no then i recommend use back just changing the bush is sufficient

You can ask machine shop, bearing shop , those have hydraulic press to pump out for you just show them the service manual you have the angle of bush location needed to place before press in or take photo before pump out si you can follow the exact location , i always sendiri fix so i don't know about you ,but that the information i can give you , if your car the lower arm bush is replaceable i mean spare parts shop got sell it the bush part and also available in market.

All lower arm especially the big bush have their own specifications angle when installing, i use Subaru for example
