Wait, how is even viable to create an 'official' thread for a rumored device that is about 2/3 quarters away from today?

We all know that TS is kiasu to be a thread-starter but come on, this is absurd. A thread just to share every single rumor-mill that you can abstract from the internet?

if upcoming ip15 is using using 3nm....is gonna get a huge boost in battery life. IF apple dint do anything stupid such as reduce the battery mAh
*
i think it works hand in hand.

a smaller chipset = more power efficiency & draw means they can compromise the battery's capacity to utilize the extra space within the chassis, which means that they can still produce a decent amount of SOT with a smaller battery.

but whatever it is, just take rumors as a pinch of salt.

Curve screen is a mess.
Very expensive screen protector
Very difficult for casing to protect the edges.

personally dislike curved screens too

titanium is overrated.

i doubt the price bump for the 15 Pro / Max will be solely due to the titanium material but rather the surge of raw mats for components. the price of titanium won't be much of an impact from a business standpoint, marginally not significant.

also titanium is already in use with the Apple Watch Ultra and honestly from a long-term user, i can tell you that i prefer the stainless steel finish over titanium anytime. titanium scuffs easily when knocked on harder compound surfaces and it does not give me a very 'reassuring' feeling as compared to the stainless steel models - never had any single scratch on them after a year+ of usage. my Ultra.. scuffed and dented after 2 months lol.

regardless of the material / finishing, we will eventually slap a case and call it day - so doesn't matter la what material they use.

So if epol announce the new iphone on the 12

Malaysia will be the 1st batch to receive it? Wanna know when it will arrive. Budget ba 🤣
*
usually a month later, we usually get around early / mid October based on the past couple of launches. Malaysia has never been the first batch to launch any Apple branded products, but that might change once they open their first retail door here soon.

These feel like personal attacks, hahaha…. I think the wait for the highest end model will affect my decision too… the current 12 Mini I’m using is infuriating… battery life is poor and the screen is bit too small - after having used all the huge screen iPhones since iPhone 6 Plus, it’s hard to return to a small screen one as my daily driver laugh.gif
I think two years is just nice bro - make sure you get it this time! laugh.gif
But those of us who buy enough iPhones over the years are familiar with their tricks now, hahaha…
*
i agree with you. i have owned every single flagship 'Pro Max' since its debut (except 14 - i couldn't do it anymore) - this time i am gonna settle with the Pro only. big phones are cumbersome and i just need something more portable and compact for my daily use.

are we gunning for first batch again? tongue.gif

If you consider the number of EVs coming out of China at the moment, I think it’s safe to say I’d pick China, hahaha…
I think there will only ever be incremental or minor upgrades for iPhones from here on in. Maybe until the day Apple releases a foldable or something. I don’t consider the RM200 price hike as exorbitant though, considering our currency is the equivalent of toilet paper at the moment.
If I’m not mistaken, the last time Apple differentiated the Pro and the Pro Max cameras were in the 12 series, and both 13 and 14 series had the same set of cameras. This means that size (and obviously battery life) is not the only difference now so perhaps everyone will be gunning for the Pro Max model this round.
If you’re paying via credit card without any instalment plans or deducting points etc., then you can just pre-order via Apple’s website. It’s been proven to be hassle free.
Hahaha, yeah, Apple doing what Apple does best! I’ve not watched the keynote - will do that tonight, but caught their YouTube ad on my feed this morning. They remain the best at overhyping a feature and convincing everyone they need it! laugh.gif
Hello sis! Our annual reunion here, hehehe! Are you upgrading this round?
*
so this time are you buying for the wifey? 😂

I put up a poll on my IG and asking my friends to choose for me, either black or natural titanium. I was expecting natural to get more votes but as of now natural only gets one vote while more than 10 voted black. sweat.gif

Black was my choice before the announcement and on the first few hours after the announcement. After that, I think natural looks good too and seems like it’s a nice color. Also from this thread, it seems majority of you guys are getting natural. My friends’ votes kinda surprise me. I just put up a few hours ago and let’s see how it fares. laugh.gif
*
let’s go team natural 💪🏻🥳

Currently my Apple CarPlay using usb a to lightning cable. With iPhone 15, I wonder if this is the cable that I should be using :

https://shp.ee/ffyqbkh

Any CarPlay users here ?
*
Any USB-A to USB-C cable should work fine. UGreen ones are good and better quality than the 1st-Party Apple ones

phew, completed my purchase from Maxis.

Opted for in-store collection at KD outlet because i will be in the area on that day for work - lets hope that my device is actually ready to be collected on the 29th.

nia my problem is maxshit greys out my number and my 2 share lines so i cannot select it to renew. they said any contract which expires within 1 month can renew...ccb betul ptuiii
*
this is the actual reason why i decided to ‘screw it’ and pay the 3 weeks penalty - knew something like this will happen. it is system generated so its hard to argue or dispute at that present time although they clearly stated otherwise.

*
wait you mean they opened up before 12? damn.. i went in at 12 and my queue was 4800 haha. managed to snag it nevertheless

Ughh not sure if they could reverse the charge if i go to a Maxis branch to complain...
*
your upfront payment will be offset through your monthly bills, too much hassle to go Maxis and dispute, i feel.

usually they will charge upfront for new users or under 2 years, your case is rare

Yeah, clear cases will yellow, which is why I always opt for the Smoke option laugh.gif

DBrand has a clear case with lifetime warranty now - they'll exchange it for you if it yellows (not sure if the warranty works in our country though)
*
just drop them an email and they will sort it out.

Dbrand is one of the most customer centric company around. been a loyal customer for many years and there’s a couple of time where i messed up the skin, requested for a replacement and they shipped it to me.

Been reading a lot of negative reviews about the Finewoven case.
So much so that I reversed my decision to try it and go for silicone instead.
*
i hate to break it to you but.. Apple’s silicone case sucks too. the price you pay for the quality is just lacklustre in every way - it started peeling after a few month in. i had both the Silicone and Leather case and the latter held up better.
