QUOTE(kang6421 @ Sep 30 2023, 10:39 AM) I totally off and let it charge to 100%. My previous 11 pro max (sold) and 13 pro max didn't use the optimized charge and i still have 90% battery health after 2 years. interesting, my 13 Pro Max was at 78% after 2 years despite only charging once a day (at night). probably because i let it run down all the way to <10% everyday.

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 30 2023, 09:32 PM) 1) are u guys be using 24MP as default or 48MP HEIF which is about the same size? 2) between HEIF and JPEG, which one do you guys normally use? personally i prefer HEIF. wait i thought standard 24MP is just between HEIF and JPEG? while the HEIF MAX, PRO MAX and PRO RAW are Pro modes - which means that they are separate entities altogether. personally prefer HEIF for standard and PRO RAW for Pro modes.

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Oct 1 2023, 10:55 AM) off ... since I have Apple watch with AOD on for me almost all the time i do too, i find the AOD a little distracting and i noticed myself looking over my phone all the time when it is on the table. my AOD is currently on, but with notification off. still thinking if i should keep it and is it worth the 5-8% battery drain everyday. QUOTE(neekun @ Oct 1 2023, 11:01 AM) Mine off, I am not sure later will cause OLED burn in or not interesting feedback.. i am guessing the burn-in won't be too bad since the display is at 1Hz and the brightness is dimmed unlike conventional OLEDs which are more prone to burn-in. Maybe some 14Pro users can shed some light on this

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 3 2023, 05:49 PM) Old device no need update, it is the new iPhone 15 need update as got bugs, you are lucky not facing issue during transfer. If happen issue, need restore from iTunes. This issue is address by Apple itself. yeah i feel that the transfer from previous models of iPhone to the 15 is so much more painful than the previous versions. i had so many issues trying to transfer my data over, getting Whatsapp to sync and eventually lost 6+ hours of Whatsapp chats due to backup and sync issues. both updated to latest 17.0.2 🤒

my Mujjo leather case just arrived today, 2/3 of my casings arrived. one more to be shipped. the leather does feel nicer, full grain feels a little more grainier and rougher compared Apple and Nomad of the past. i love how slim the sides are, no added bulk but it doesn’t look like its gonna save my phone from a 6ft drop 😂 This post has been edited by andrewtho: Oct 5 2023, 08:02 PM Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(dikae @ Oct 5 2023, 05:49 PM) Collected my new 15PM, went through a roller coaster to get the replacement. Learnt a lot from this experience and concluded that this will be my last purchase from third party (telco), will only purchase from AASP mostly for post sales reasons. wait i thought you collected from IPC on the 29th?

as much as i understand how much we love or baby our phones, i think the current visibility of cycle count has made us a little more sensitive towards the way we use our phones or even charge it.
in the end, our phones are just devices that enable us to go through our day to day tasks.

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Oct 7 2023, 11:02 AM) tbh this "feature" sucks for ppl like me who change phone every 2-3 years and would want to sell the 2nd hand phone at higher price its okay, we’re on the same boat. honestly as much as people care about Battery Health or Cycle Count, there will still be buyers - just need a little more time. heck, i sold my 13PM @ 78% battery health for market price without compromising. defo doable.

QUOTE(dikae @ Mar 9 2024, 10:26 PM) Lol that’s quote from oct 2023 post, but yes still applicable to date.. IMO It’s causing a lot of anxiety to many people, including myself…when I use my samsung I have no fear of battery health issue, and sort of enjoy using it more, charging it however I want without fear or worries. The cycle count is something unwanted, on top of the already unwanted battery health %…oh wells.. feel like kena necro from the past haha to my surprise my battery cycle is still 100% despite me just abusing the hell out of my battery.
