Anyone using camera lens protector?
I wanna weigh in on this subject as there's been so much talk about it the past few pages. So, in essence, the glass covering the lens is really durable. While Apple have in the past claimed it's made of sapphire, many YouTubers have debunked this and shown it is not pure sapphire. That said, I've only had one instance when the glass got chipped off at the edges, and that was because I dropped the phone from a considerable height. I've dropped many iPhones, many times but this was the one and only occurrence. Even with a case on. So it depends sometimes on the fall angle - and a bit of dumb luck. And while the glass is largely durable, I've noticed that for most of my iPhones since the 7 Plus, the paint around the lens cover seems prone to chipping off as well. I will clarify this has happened only to my non-Pro iPhones, the 7 Plus, the 8, the XR, the 11 and 13 (yes, I do buy that many iPhones). So I'm perfectly fine if someone wants to put a lens cover on their phone. I'm no photography expert by any means, but so far I've not seen any degradation of photos with a lens cover - either that or I'm blissfully oblivious to it, which I'm fine with that

How is the phone so far? Any overheating issue?
I read about the overheating and fragility issue. The complains caught more of my attention for this model compared to previous iPhone models.
Hey sis! I'm guessing you haven't gotten your unit yet? Hehe.. ok, so this heating up issue.. Apple has acknowledged it and there will be a software fix so I don't think you should be overly concerned. From my personal experience though, the phone ran warm during setup and initial transfer of data - and it stayed warm for a bit. It wasn't comfortable, but it wasn't unbearable either. You could still hold the phone and all. After that, my phone's been behaving normally, no heat issues. That said my early usage thus far is fairly limited to making sure all my apps are logged in, web browsing, some online shopping, streaming Apple music, YouTube and a bit of Facebook (yes, Facebook, so you know I'm old, hahaha)... I'll give more thoughts about my initial impressions of the phone tomorrow, after I've had it for 3 full days.

Not sure what talking there. Have bought before iPhone from the US and was able to claim warranty here in Malaysia when the board died. Also all other Apple computers are international warranty.
He's not wrong. Warranty claims for iPhones in different countries is not a given, it is solely dependant on Apple and it's service providers in the country you are claiming. Which is why we normally advise people to send a nicely worded email to Apple first about your phone issues before you head to the service centre if you bought your phone from another country. It helps. Also, Apple prides themselves in their CSAT ratings, so it's very unlikely they turn you down. Macs on the other hand have international warranty.
