 Need help - TNB Meter being tampered

This very likely tampered meter case, TNB won't simply accused one as otherwise go Court they will lose 😅

Easy jer, they can tell which parts been replaced ....... only 100% way is actually not to touch the meter but directly tap onto the incoming before the meter 😇

But TNB change it last year 2021 March maybe start wrongly reverse neutral wiring from there?
This year 2022 July during TNB change new meter only found neutral reversed can it be they done wrong last year ?

Rm20-30 only.

During that time MCO nobody home we stay at Spore.

On the assumption that you are right, then you should stand your ground and insist that TNB proved that you were the one to have tampered with the meter 😇

Do noted that untampered meter are security tagged with serial rivets which cannot be duplicated unless you are willing to spend a lot of $$$
to do it 😅

get one of those plug type usage meter... test and see readings lari a lot or not... confirm yourself how bad first lah...

is the seal broken?... did tnb found the seal broken... or just suspect because reading drop?...

anyways if tenant really broke the seal n tamper... you might as well tamper and adjust back to normal... got nothing to lose already... lol...

Good to know!, thanks for sharing.

Some time back there was couple of owners complaining that they could transfer the name back to them since the tenant dah lari. And there was a huge tuck a war, but these process had been smoothen now, then its good for the owners

Can't remember clearly the process, just call TNB, my experience is everything settle from home(online), not even need to go TNB, hope this help

Change Account Name for Premise Owners

Based on Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) records, there are residential and commercial premise owners that rented out their properties. These owners have the option to change the electricity account name of their rental properties to the tenant’s name by performing Change of Tenancy (COT) during the rental period to ensure orderly account management besides protecting landlords’ rights.

Changing the name of the account owner to the tenants allows the latter to be fully responsible for their electricity consumption and bill payment.

TNB Chief Retail Officer, Datuk Ir. Megat Jalaluddin Megat Hassan says, “TNB makes it easy for customers to apply for COT on the myTNB portal at www.mytnb.com.my or by visiting the nearest Kedai Tenaga. Further information and required supporting documents for the name change are available on myTNB portal.

“Premise owners can still monitor tenants’ monthly payment and usage patterns over time through the myTNB application and portal,” added Megat.

Liabilities is obviously on the account holder.

The reconnection is the issue if is not paid.

FAQs doesnt recognised by reconnection dept.

They will tell customers that they will ask the account holder to pay. Once paid, they do reconnection.
