This..... TS didn't specify his 2nd option if not using Panasonic water heater... But if I recall correctly, I used this exact same model(just without the rain shower head) before, it's not hot enough even at max temp at max water flow rate when compared to solar heater

This unker is very weird.

Despite using Grohe at home, I would say in this case, Panasonic is better since it would provide you warm water for shower.

Shower system without mixer & storage water heater is useless.

Just bought Panasonic heater with digital display + Jet Pump to replace the Alpha.
World difference.. Panasonic DC Pump is way silent than Alpha.
Alpha after replace the DC Pump, motherboard rosak very problematic after 5 years warranty over.

another is just rain shower with mixer. Looks like there is no mixer also.

Grohe is so call higher tier shower system. A higher end one can be as much as 8k to 10k.
it is linked with external heater and pump at ceiling,- the one u gave don't have heater.

i would avoid Deka at all cost, any deka product.
Especially shower system which come with safety feature.

i mean home shower with heater n jet pump, the pump tend to kaput first heater still working, then have to change the whole set new, waste.

so i buy home shower with heater only without jet pump and install a separate pump. way cheaper

That Panasonic pump heater is not strong enough for big shower head like Grohe. That Grohe require a high pressure or bigger pump.

Even that Panasonic heater comes with an overhead shower, it is not as powerful as what you think.

I have had a similar set from Rinnai for many yrs.

Cold shower only for ages even when sick ... hardly sick, cant even remember the last time im sick.

For sport recovery, sauna and then cold shower ... best.

even for cold shower best is start with warm water then slowly turn off water heater.

start with cold water during rainy day is torture.

TS posted set of handheld shower and overhead shower only. There is no mixer in the photo. And TS still need to buy mixer and storage water heater.

No. I bought grohe + storage water heater + water pump.

Overhead with instant water heater is pretty useless.
The heat already dissipate before reach you.

Joven for storage water heater, grundfos scala2 for water pump.

For mixer, I use external mixer for easier maintenance and future replacement if needed.

I think you are comparing 2 shower systems, here are the pros and cons.

1. Rainshower with hidden water heater (hotel-like experience)
a. Pro - Luxurious | with high water flow and high range of temperature adjustment capabilities, hot enough to use to fill up bathtub.
b. Con - Expensive parts and installation / servicing cost.

2. Rainshower with instant water heater
a. Pro - Components required are much more cheaper than option 1, and much cheaper installation cost.
b. Con - Subpar water flow and warm water just enough for shower, but definitely not for bathtub usage.


Things required for:

1. Rainshower with hidden water heater (hotel-like experience)
a. Cold and hot water pipings (Cold to water heater and mixer; hot from water heater to mixer)
b. Mixer (for u to mix the cold and hot water to get the ideal temperature for yourself, like what u see in hotels)
c. Standalone rain shower set - usually has larger nozzles compared to those that comes with instant water heaters, hence output water flow is more high pressure / luxurious
d. Powerful external water booster pump - like Grundfos, to boost your house's water pressure. beware if pressure is too high it might destroy substandard pipings around the house. This pump can be quite loud.
e. Hidden water heaters, either:
i. Storage water heaters - Go for enamel-coated storage water heaters (brands like Centon / Alpha) which is newer technology and more resistant to leakage, and not stainless steel storage water heaters (brands like Joven / Elton) which is older technology and more prone to leakage and more expensive.
ii. High-powered instant water heaters - up to 7kW ones (brands like Beebest / Centon), but still not as hot as storage water heaters.
f. Expensive installation and plaster ceiling modification to fit in the water heater above the ceiling.

2. Rainshower with instant water heater
a. Cold water piping only (to instant water heater)
b. Instant water heaters with rainshower set - the higher kW the hotter the output water temperature. But definitely still not as hot as storage water heater. And the built-in pump in instant water heater is wayyy underpowered compared to external water booster pump.
c. Basic installation. No plaster ceiling modification required.

so how do I solve this problem?
