I watched in Netflix. In the beginning, even the filmmakers mentioned it is fiction although character is real. But some people make a big deal out of this film saying this is the history we should not forget. Maybe I read it wrongly.. it was quick and written in small font, I didn't bother read entirely or pause.

Wikipedia says.. "Abdul Rahman Mt Dali, pengasas dan pengarah urusan Studio Kembara kemudian berkata bahawa gambaran Sikh dalam filem itu berdasarkan daripada fakta sejarah."

However, it also says.. Ok, but based on true story does not make the whole thing is true right? We can just take history and then rewrite it into a script and then say based on true story. It has to have elements to be entertaining and also to make sales, or else it'd be boring.
