Try to buy flu/runny nose medicine. Ask for a drowsy version. Only less than RM3/strip. Works well for me. I find the brand PolarX works best.

By the way, I don't recommend taking pills to sleep. Years ago I had the same insomnia problem. You name it, I tried it. But I found something that works for me and me alone. I always imagine I am on a bus/plane, and the vehicle is in an accident and I got wheeled to a hospital. By the time I reach the imaginary hospital, I will fall asleep. Funny but true.

Sorry. The right name is Polarax. According to google search, it's Dexchlorpheniramine maleate. It's pink in colour and it looks like panadol for period pain one biggrin.gif

Its a medicine for a blocked nose. I have a sensitive nose, and there are nights that I can't sleep due to nasal blockage. So I will take this before sleep.

During the day, I will take Clarinaise for the same effect but without drowsiness. Clarinaise is very expensive, the last I bought cost RM18/strip.

11.30 p.m already put the phone on flight mode and ready to bed. I closed my eyes but couldn't sleep. Turn left, turn right, still cannot sleep. My room is fully dark so I can't see the clock to know what time already. So I see my phone and see the clock, Shit! it is 2.00a.m plus. My husband sleeping besides and sometimes snoring. So I go to the next room to sleep alone. I know that watch slow documentary in netflix will make me sleep. So I did it and I get a light sleep for about 5-10 minutes maybe. I think I will got to sleep because already feel sleepy. I off my phone and try to sleep again. Suddenly, I heard a sound like "knock" of the fans electric make me shock and I feel a bit frightened. I back to my room and my husband got awake ask me why i cannot sleep. He back to sleep because he already know my insomnia problem. I try to fall sleep beside my husband again around 3.00a.m plus. But still cannot sleep because my stomach make a noise. I know that I'm hungry so I go to eat coco crunch. Then try to fall asleep again but cannot. I feel my heartbeat is fast. Until time to go to work.

Apologize my grammar but the story is delivered right. haha

I am no doctor & take my advice with a grain of salt. But maybe a lifestyle change is in order? Try eating healthy, don’t eat too much before bedtime, no electronic before bedtime, and do intense exercise? You’re bound to get tired & sleepy after workout..

Now i try relax, not thinking the job after working hour, improve my sleep.

no la. i was prescribed by the doctor and he gave me like 4 pills each visit. i rarely took it, prolly 1 every week or 2 weeks. by after my 10th pills, it triggers the thoughts all of a sudden without any warning. i was sleeping and i just woke up in the middle of the night and felt so helpless and useless and thought of just ending it. ive stopped taking it right after that incident.

i dont abuse downers only uppers but that is for another story another day. hahaha
